Started keeping track of calories again 3 weeks ago. Down to 101.8kg from 105.8kg since then.

Total weight loss now 23.3kg since I started cycling in June 2017.

Was down to 99.6kg on Saturday.. Probably mostly loss of fluids after a 3 hour ride in this 42 degrees weather we're having. Feels as if I'm still on target for sub 95 by Christmas

Burnt 548 kcal at grid class the other night, which was a 40 minute workout, so I'm going to focus on doing more grid classes at gym per week. I've cut right down on coffee and been drinking more water. Still at 89kg.

I have been off the bike for almost 2 month climbed on the scale and well...almost died gone from 108kg to 118kg.. have my fair share of excuses but needless to say its in my hands now. I recentley relocated to Durbs, so have my MTB and road bike with me,will start riding tomorrow, started with my Banting yesterday, can already feel the lack of carbs and the cravings begin.. I will be down to 100kg by end of December.

Keep at it. Slowly slowly and you'll get there

Couldn't make it to gym last night, so did a Tae Bo session at home. 569 kcal burnt after a 48 minute workout, although according to my watch, my heart rate wasn't as high as it was when I did the last grid class. It's definitely more interesting being in a class and trying to beat the person next to you, than doing a workout in front of the TV.

With my son here for the month and having had the hernia op it was difficult to maintain my weight . I still managed 800 plus km so the training was done . With Daniel here my wife baked at least 3 cakes a week and of course i had to have my fill of those . A take out was on the cards at least once a week (pizza , burgers , fish and chips ) Training harder and more intense was my way of coping with the excess food intake and i think it worked as i only gained half a kg . This month will be a better one for me . I want to reset my goal but not sure if i can its worth it for the last two months .

Just checked, according Endomondo my usual commute one way = 950kcal (whatever that means), so an average of 1900kcal/day.

The day before that = 2550kcal/day for cycling to work and back

kcal to kj

1kcal = 4.18kj

950 = 3971

2550 = 10,659

With a bit of conscious effort you can still easily reach 85kg by Christmas.

And remember, don't see it as your end target, every kg you drop now until then is a kg less you have to drop next year! Definitely worth sticking with it these last few weeks of the year I would say!

Slightly up this month, but I had 9 days of non-stop going out and socialising (sometimes even meeting friends for lunch and dinner). I gained 2kg in that time, managed to drop 1.5kg of those since Monday thanks to clean eating and IF (most of it must have been water weight).

I also stepped up my training at gym, adding in 2 days of HIIT in the mornings. My body is happily tired and sore...

Amazing!! Well done! How you feeling?

Feeling more nippy already! Especially noticing it on the climbs..didn't think it would make that much of a difference but it does! Now I can't wait to hit 85kg!

Something I noticed this month.. From around the Argus MTB Challenge in March I did long races almost every weekend or every second weekend ranging from 70 to 120km. Then during the week I would rest up for the next race and maybe go for one short ride of 20km between them. My weight basically stayed the same from March to end September. Since Karoo 2 Coast I decided to cool it a bit with races for the rest of the year and shifted to rather doing 20km-40km rides 6-7days a week. I think that's what's making the big difference now and kick started the weight loss again.

Target for end of year: 95kg. Will do a race on the 26th December in Hartenbos and then messing around in the Garden Route Trail Park to keep the legs going through the holidays and not fall back in bad habits.

Target for March 2019 when the races start again: 85kg.

Yeah, also have started riding to work every day and making sure that some days are proper rest days! Helps keep weight down and legs turning. Can still feel the one tonner in my legs this morning

I'm about 3 to 4 kgs heavier after the winter than I'd like to be. I've been working out and would like to believe it's muscle, but my waistline says otherwise.

I want to make an effort in November to lose some of that fat. Going to try intermittent fasting by skipping breakfast as I'm not really hungry in the morning anyway. Also, no more after dinner snacks, especially sweets.
