Yeah I'm sure it will but I feel bloated everyday with this diet.

It normalises after a while. Your gut just needs time to adapt to the increased fiber intake.

No movement for May. For most of the month I was up and down between 95 and 96.

95 is becoming my boogy weight, cant shake it! Target is 88. Oooh thy 7 kilos, how do I shed you?

Long travel this month has affected consistency, quite hard to be healthy on long flights and away from home. Also, got flu a few times and that just throws you off totally.

Have started mid week gym x 2 to complement weekend cycles.

Keen to learn what others are doing as around mid-year this usually gets challenging.

Bit of a up and down month which saw me as low as 98.3 kg which was close as dammit to my target weight. Still ended down on the previous month which is a bonus.

The cold weather however has played havoc with my sweet tooth.

Still not able to break through 110kg. But good news is waist circumference down 9 cm this year. So I guess I am losing fat but building muscle, so overall weight on a plateau for almost 2 months.

My Current weight is 79.8, I would like to drop my weight to 77kg to reach my optimal power to weight ratio. I know I'm joining late, but I'm sure it's going to be good motivation. Well done to everyone so far!

Had a good month training topped out at over 900 km .at an average of 25kph on and off  road mixed . Having 2 family and one staff members birthday in May did not help my sweet food intake and then also my youngest  son coming home from Afghanistan and wanting to eat real home made mom cooked meals just added to my frustration . So when i got on the scale this morning i was very surprised at my the result ,92 4kg which is below my target for May .

I very briefly achieved 0.5kg under my year end target weight of 75kg last week-end after doing the Kremetart route in a training ride. Once rehydrated my weight settled back on 2kg above target, but as there is still half a year to go on the challenge I should get there if.

I am now going to try setting 75kg as my maximum weight and  try to keep in a  band from 73-75kg with a BMI of 22.5 from about August onwards.

I still have flab and love handles around the midriff - will I ever be rid of it?

Seventy is a good weight depending on your height . My racing weight was 74kg and after a 3 or 4 day stage race i would be 72kg or below and then found trying to stay there and have the same stamina was not possible . I would follow my normal training and eating habits and come back to 74kg ready for the next race . We raced saturday and sunday with a short mid week club race on a wednesday (40km max ) .

I still have flab and love handles around the midriff - will I ever be rid of it?  No they never go away no matter how much i trained

Anyone doing or tried a time restricted diet?

As in only eating during the evening or a certain time of day and then fasting for the rest of the 24hours

Yes, I do it daily, and then also do alternate day fasting (eating every second day), eating strictly keto. Started end of February at 111.7kg, down to 96kg as of this morning. When doing 24hr intermittent fasting, I eat dinner, then I have a nice cup of keto coffee with cacao, coconut oil and xylitol. After that it's water and another cup or two of coffee with real cream, not the dessert type. Once you become fat adapted, this is not hard to do. Give it a whirl.

Weighed myself on Saturday, and the scale showed 88kg. I don't think I'll get to my target weight of 80kg without exercise, which I haven't been doing much of lately. Went to the Chiropractor last Monday for my neck, and although it feels a lot better, I'm still limited to what exercises I can do. I'm put off with the idea of cycling during the week because of traffic, and my weekends usually consist of doing things with my wife and daughter. Also winter, not a big fan of outdoor exercise when the temperature drops. Might go back to doing Tae Bo in front of the TV.

I haven't been following your injuries, but is use of an indoor trainer in winter an option for you?

Unfortunately not. Wouldn't mind joining a gym for the use of one of their IDT's, but is it really worth a joining a gym and paying a gym fee just for the use of an IDT?
