So i had a great ride! 3rd in the sprint in AL.

No time as i lost my chip somewhere in my car and eventually ran out of time looking and had to start without it.

Didn't think it was much of an issue as i never expected a result.

What a fail!

Nice riding with the guys in the front.

Does anybody know the condition (or name) of the guy who came down hard in VA? I need to know if he’s OK, it wasn’t pretty.

Hello Cav

If this is the Same person?

From other Social media.

@60km in the Leading bunch, wheels were Touched and 'Nigel' went down. According to comments he has No recollection how he got Up and Back onto his bike.

Nigel continued to Finnish the race.

He was taken to Hospital afterwards and transferred to Fourways for Surgery.

Broken four Ribs and Collar Bone with multiple Roasties.

Thanks Frail, don’t think this was the same incident though. This guy’s frame was broken into two pieces and was taken away by ambulance.

Was it early on in the race? Saw a guy getting loaded into an ambulance probably around 10-20km in?

Saw the same guy. On the right hand side with a white frame? His frame didn't look broken though.

Happened at around 52km.

my mate Luis.

He is ok, a fractured rib and some skin off his arm.

i'm sure he is going to be feeling it today.

from what i hear he is very lucky to get off as well as he did.

his bike is toast though.

This is the one. Thanks. (I came down with him)

Sounded like that rib pierced his lung when he was laying there.

Hope he recovers well.

A few people I know were declined a time without their chip. Photo at finish proved they didn’t have one. Worth a try, but could end with disappointment.

Ask CL1218 if he can spare you one - he had 3
