Yup, I must make a plan to get to that Cardiologist that you recommended.

I am 90%... Wouter will find it.

Hi Moridin

At the risk overemphasizing the sentiment of the last few posts. He really is that good. I have been his patient for the last 13 years. He has a knack for identifying stuff that others miss and enjoys a challenge.

Thx men. Does he need a referral from a GP?

Would be a good idea, although not essential. I would rather prefer the medical professionals answer you on that one. He has a tendency to start from scratch anyway. His whole practice is set up like a mini clinic and you get examined by  various in house specialists, depending on what tests he wants to run. My first consultation took more than 2 hours in total, with follow ups every 18 months with blood tests beforehand.

Perhaps check with your medical aid - there may be protocols where hospital admissions occur.

I had sinus surgery a few years ago & because I didn't get a GP referral to the ENT, the hospital co-payment was higher!

I was proper annoyed as I thought bypassing the GP would save the medical aid some money...

He is not just a cardiologist... he is also a specialist physician.... you can ignore everything about him in the press - imo it's total bs.

Beat my 30 year old son in an aquathlon on Sunday. Ok ok he ain’t been training for too long but I am still the alpha dog.........for now

And I beat him again yesterday. Although he got a lil closer timewise. Next we doing a sprint tri on 5th may. I expect that to probably be the last time I beat him at shorter distances. In August we doing an Olympic tri and by then its going to be interesting. :)

Your son sounds like kind, generous kind of guy who loves his pop.... ???? Edited by SwissVan

Just had a wisdom tooth extracted.

Thought they did that sort of thing when we were young.

Not really - it's tonsils they generally do when your young (I was 20 and it was sooooore!) but wisdom teeth can be done anytime. They often don't come through until you're older anyway. Some people don't even get them.
