Mr Schurter like Ajay Gupta, has left the country already.

Thought he is staying over until the world cup and subsequent Epic?

Interesting.....

pretty cool , but i won't be rushing to get it

Shimano need to do something quick if they want to stay competitive

Di2 been out a while, and even in XT!

They just haven’t done 12speed yet, but they swear by 2x setups still

true but with the range sram is offering and it all trickling down in price and the simplicity and weight 2x won't have room much longer at the racing scene amateur and pro ( 2x won't completely go away in cycling i think)

speed is kinda irrelevant to me and i think to many others as well 11 spd was good and i doubt we need more.

I still want  shimano to do something big ( NOT 13 spd )

Interestingly, the rear derailleur looks much closer in mechanical design to Sram Red Etap:

.. than XX1 Eagle:

The spy pic seems like an early-ish prototype mashup of a Red eTap rear der. with an Eagle xx1 cage. It has no clutch, and the parallelogram they've borrowed from Red looks like it might struggle with getting onto the 50t sprocket.

The image could be a fake  :P Can't trust everything you stumble across on the internet.

Based on nothing but my own day dreaming, I have a suspicion that SRAM may be converging their 1x12 road, cyclocross, and mtb groupsets to a degree.
