I think Ben still has to get used to the 3 min format Red Bull have imposed on him. Maybe spend less time waffling and more time editing his own pithy comments into something that covers the whole track... His longer vids were much better.

I picked up from Vital that the track preview wasn't  done by "Brain Drain" Caluori, but Olly Wilkins who tried to keep up with Gee while riding a trail bike. It apparently didn't work too well and he was rather slow and also had a big crash... I wonder why they didn't get Cathro?!?

I watched an interview with Claudio earlier. After the Losinj crash his headaches didn't go away, so after about 4 weeks ge went to the hospital, a scan showed bleeding on the brain and he was operated on that day.

Scary stuff.

Ya I saw that. Have to wonder why he waited so long.

Only one south african flag flying today. meh.  In general, the current situation in the south african MTB scene strongly suggests south african representation on the DH world cup podium is going to be confined to the history books once Minnaar calls it a day. :(

Sik Mik didn't qualify. and that german teenager Valentina Holl is going to crush the junior ladies. Extremely viable elite level contender even at 16 years old. Great style on the bike too!

What about the young lady out KZN way that is crushing the local adults in their DH series ... recall something I read last year?

I certainly hope she can make something of her skill on the DH WC scene!

So really now ... chains need to be made just a little more reliable!

nah , pro's just need to start using solid steel pin chains ( coz I think they use those hollow pin pieces of sh#t ) OR world cup mech's really don't know how to use A chain breaker

I broke a solid steel pinned chain the other day ... it hurt.

funnily enough, i trust the hollow pins more than the solid pinned chains. Broke a few of the latter, but none of the former.
