Picked up a piece of glass this evening. Small cut, enduroseal managed to seal it without losing noticeable pressure (sorry to the guys behind me who got sprayed a bit). Very happy with tubeless so far👍🏻

I had a rather strange incident last night where at home a wheel sprung a leak, discharged some sealant before sealing but without losing much pressure if any.

I thought the puppy had chewed on the tyre 🙈  but suspect that there must have been something like a piece of glass in the tyre from last ride that had then pushed through, or perhaps a previous seal that failed.

Tubeless certainly keeps things interesting. 🤣

What do you guys use for rimtape?

(I use gorilla tape on my MTB, but it's too thick for the road bike)

micropore

oh wait, the other kind of rim.......

the Yellow Stan's Rim tape or another urethane single sided adhesive tape

What would be the best way to repair this small cut in the tire? Superglue?

Be very carefull with enduro seal, I'm at my 2nd bottle just because it's the one the nearest shop sells (Sportsman's), it separates very quickly (maybe more so in summer ?). I had two punctures in 4 months that didn't seal because of that. I'm over it now, will try Orange seal endurance next, hopefully that one you don't need to top up every month

I wouldn't bother, if it's sealed it's sealed. If you don't trust the seal, clean the inside, sand paper, patch, done

So....stupid question.

Do you just add it while the tyre is fully inflated or (like with superglue) deflate, glue, reflate?

The Sealant Did It's Job.

It Got You Home safely without Stopping.

Some Guys have posted that they can patch the tyre from the Inside.

Depends if it’s all the way through you probably want to patch it from the inside first then seal the outside with shoe gloop

mid it’s just a cut that hasn’t gone through then just the shoegloop

I've patched my latest punctures but haven't reinstalled the tyre/s yet.

Keen to see if it/how well it works. 🤞

sealant separation will happen regardless of the brand. Solid constituents will drop out with heat build up and churn. Latex will coagulate and bind the solids to the tyre casing asn you're left with the liquids (Water, a glycol and whatever else they've mixed in. This happens in MTB tyres and is worse in road tyres

yeah but 1 month is a problem.

I've cleaned my front tyre last nigth because it looked like my wheel wasn't true anymore (probably due to dried sealant in the beads), while I was at it I changed the Enduro sealant with Orange sealant. If it works as good as some here advertise it's game changer, because despite shaking it well it goes in and out the serynge very easily, meaning you never need to take the tyre out to top up (unlike Stans race sealant that clogs everything). Wait and see.

What are you using to inject the sealant? I've never had a problem injecting either Stan's Race or Enduro Seal as long as the sealant hasn't been standing for months. Sealant has a shelf life and under warmer temps its will start to coagulate.

Also check that your valves aren't clogged with sealant at the stem. remove the core and push a toothpick or savory skewer through the valve body to make sure its clear

Ive been testing the Muc-Off sealant for the last 8 months or so, Popped the tyre open to check the other day, all my sealant was basically gone at that point but no ball of latex or water inside, just chucked a new pouch of sealant in and away we go

so its' all evaporated....? What plugs the puncture if there no solid material or latex?
