Definitely 24mm ? 

 

They are 22mm or something from what i remember? 

 

But yes if 24 , i really can't see why a shimano won't work

24 yes but I can see a problem, the spots where the bearings sit are marginally bigger, like 0.1 or something, I can foresee this will be an issue going with Shimano 😁

Mmmm , go take a bb52 ( i assume you must have one laying around ) and see if you can slide the cup over the spindle by hand both ways.

 

If yes then I'd go for a pf shimano bb , if not then you might have some Searching to do

Those 18650 batteries are very common and easy to come by. I bought 6 the other day for some lights.
