I wouldn't shim the handlebar - chances are you will feel the bar moving in the stem clamp while riding. There's a lot of force that goes through that clamp. There's a lot of force that goes through that clamp. I ride shimmed handlebars all the time. I have 2 bikes (1 my road/gravel BMX and the other my Rigid SS mtb) which use shims and I don't notice either. Just line up the shim gaps with the gaps between the stem and stem plate and off you go Chadvdw67, Wayne pudding Mol and 100Tours 2

Warren van Rensburg Posted January 19, 2022 Share Looking for a Bike Caddy/Geoff bike rack extension that enables the bike rack to tilt back so you can access your boot. Would be great if it was around the Randburg area

I bought various of these straps and fittings at a hardware store for a 4x4 project a few years ago. If memory serves me it was at Brights in Boston. EDIT ... Brights does not have stock. They directed me to a shop in Northumberland street, just above Recycles Fits perfectly Edited January 24, 2022 by ChrisF MTBeer

Decathlon. R99. Works brilliantly.
