some good points there. When you are really tired you make silly mistakes.Remember to sign out guys, its something easy to forget. As everyone is getting going you walk past the sign out table.

Be careful before Britstown and loxton and Ceres. The route takes you of the tar a few kilos before these towns ,when your brain is fried you can easily follow the road into town and its a serious time penalty. Its really a pain in the butt ----you can see the town right there but you turn off into the veld.

Gotta love his blogs... really hoping by some miracle he can sneak a win one day. Age not on his side, but he's definitely one of those 'age is just a number' guys...

Plus plus plus to this.

he must just stop giving away all his tips!

I watched a short interview with him(think it was 2 years back) and not only is he just amazing on the endurance side but he is mentally very strong and he is smart. He has thought about everything on his bike and it's purpose. I would also love to see him pull of the W one day. I would be rooting for him for sure(unless I am racing against him :D ).

I passed (going opposite directions) a lady this morning and I thought it looked like Jodi. But I saw the bike and it had all the added bags, bottles, bars etc on and I thought no it can't be her as she is a hard core roadie. This confirms it was indeed her I saw. O and kudos to her as she was riding with some dude and he jumped a red robot and she stopped at it till it went green(just this gives her points in my book so I will be backing her).

I wonder why the sheriff has never entered again? He had such bad luck with his early crash 2 years? back. Surprised he hasn't come back to settle the score.

Some real Bloem Hardmen entered as well.

Adrian Saffy (google him). He has done some incredible stuff off bike.

Suprise package Sam Marx. Never seen anyone put so much effort in preparing. He is looking incredible.

Maybe not two for the the win but for sure dots to track

I am very interested to see how Hein Visser matches up to the rest. We have to be realistic in accepting that the race has evolved somewhat since his win two years ago. There are now some hardcore international and local riders competing. Seeing how he does will be very interesting for me.

Keen to see Adrian Saffy compete. The man is an animal. Few years ago, he ran the Comrades, got to the finished, turned around and ran back to the start. He is a hardcore endurance machine. He doesn't have to prepare for Munga, he is permanently prepared.

Very happy to see that all round good guy Erik Vermeulen is riding. He was race director last year.

Gutted to see that Jeannie Bomb isn't riding.

My special dot that I will be watching permanently will be Sam Marx. I have had the pleasure of doing some miles with him. The guy is focused, lean, mean and with the level of dedication that he has shown in preparation, he will have a fantastic ride no doubt. Sam also has a very special reason for doing this ride and I wish him the absolute best of luck.

Best of luck to all riding. I will be at the start to see you all off.

Kick Ass!

All cheers for Heinrich from our side and he will also be taking a secret weapon to the race...
