Experience with CRC's move from DHL to SkyNet?

It’s been 2 weeks since Dalene mailed me about my parcel, and as of late this week it was still in customs [emoji35]

Order for single item placed 9th May....when presented with delivery options, the "DHL Express" option is still there, so I thought OK cool maybe because of my delivery location (Qatar) but when shipping details were sent with tracking info, hello SKYNET.....! So I inquired to their online HELP....fees paid where all inclusive however they have no control of customs duties due on entry...fair enough....no mention of admin fees from shipping company....

So lets see....

Shipping update: 

Recvd by Carrier 11th May London...arrived at hub...(not this Hub but their hub).....

Seems Skynet doesn't operate weekends....received by Carrier 11th...

Now why would CRC affiliate themselves with that pile of ineptitude.. Since wiggle is the parent company, perhaps add them to the firing line.

There seems to be problems with customs clearing in general, I have some expensive electronics stuck there for weeks (3 weeks to be exact)

I have a parcel through aramex global shopper that has been stuck at customs since 3rd April, I have submitted original invoice, proof of payment and copy of credit card linked to PayPal to confirm amount paid, yet customs seem reluctant to calculate duties or release the parcel. The item is just a saddle bag to fit around a behind the saddle biddon bottle on my TT bike, so not a high value item. Whilst skynet are crap in their service, there also seems to be an issue with customs

There is an issue with customs. We (I own a Postnet) have been informed in the last 3 weeks that Customs are checking all incoming shipments. This is out of the couriers' control. I used Merlin in March. Ordered Sunday, goods arrived Thursday with UPS. Prices all better than crc, and courier free (barring local disbursement fee).

So I ordered from CRC 6 May and received this email last Friday however I chose standard shopping to save some cash on courier fees so why is skynet involved? Shouldn't this be going through our old friends SAPO?

I placed an order on the 10th, completely oblivious to this thread. I selected the (free because the order was large) standard shipping, and it's being handled by DHL. Is it just a lottery or have they switched back?

So everyone saying there is an issue in Customs, that may be, but my parcel was released from customs on the 10th, and that is the last tracking update I have...still no joy.

There is something broken at customs and there after.
my latest CRC order was cleared at customs 26 of 3rd and i received it  12 of 5 ...

They do, they just don't update the tracking.

 

My tracking says cleared customs, sorted - Jhb but It just got delivered to me in cpt.

Yip, I had 2 split orders. They took around 15 to 17 days to arrive from date of placing orders with CRC.
