Not so sure about this guys claim - can't see anything particularly unique about his design

But given Woolies track record you never know

Oke was in my class at school and have a braai now and then. Interesting claim, a little far out.

Much ado about nothing all I see is a bicycle, rich coming from someone who's socks are identical to Mondrian's block designs.

Woolies in the news again,

more socks being smoked it seems

snip

to be fair...Dave does not own the rights to randomised bicycle silhouettes on socks imo lol.

Does Piet Mondrian then have the rights to the modernist square design which is awfully reminiscent of his 1930's art?....i guess LOOK also owes Mondrian money then for plastering his art all over their logos and bikes :whistling:

my 2c

slightly OT:

if you want to read some really juicy cycling related copyright infringement stuff...Google Whyte Bikes Vs Rich Energy. A story about an "obscure little bike company no one has ever heard of" taking on the title sponsor of the Haas Formula 1 team.... and they are winning.

the REAL juicy stuff is in here...start at the back and see how deep the rabit hole goes if you feel like it. Also amazing proof how enough digging by a sports fanbase - invested in proving something - can bring corporate skelms to their knees.

That's better!

That sock guy is a joke... I'm boycotting socks altogether! Time to get a tri bike.

It might be far fetched to make a fuss about a sock pattern design, but I do think Woolworths are missing an opportunity by not utilizing local suppliers for these types of products when we can have them adding that value inside of the country.

Get around a table and discuss a price and product quality that satisfies both parties and presto you grow Sexy Sox to a major manufacturer.

Think retailers are very quick to jump on the China train to get their goods in on the cheap, but at what cost to our country.

You know when you are thinking about buying a certain type of new car. And you suddenly start seeing that type of car all the time?

I haven't seen a Ferrari in ages :P
