It is of course is up to the organisers, if they say no, then no.

Not sure of the range of these things, but when the battery is flat, it's a pretty crap ride.

I'm not too phased about the battery bikes mixing it up.

Bikes are quite weighty and will hurt someone quite badly if it falls on them and they damage the trails.

More and more trails are putting up signs banning Ebikes.

What about a light bike with a fat rider? Surely that causes more damage than the 7/8kg penalty an e-Bike gives you? I know which of the two I'd rather fall on me.

What about a fat rider on a eBike? #DropsMic

Seeing that K2C is not really a race anymore, it’s actually a good event to trial eBikes mixing it up with bicycles at scale. But I think that as it stands, the number of people who would get annoyed would still outweigh the number of eBikes entered.

#modernday problems

We don't like the rules, they must be changed to suit our needs, irrespective of why the rules are there....

Here is a thought, why not just comply with the rules, else find an event that will let you ride your ebike?

I see the 94.7 now has an ebike category, am sure you could even do a double lap comfortably with the motor!

I can see the appeal in using a ebike on an event like k2c but you would have to be sure your ebike can do 100km. I think they don't want them in the race so they don't sit with unnecessary problems. And I think most of the people who entered trained to be able to do and enjoy it so there will be unhappiness.
