or

"oh sorry okes, you carry on. i had a puncture, and i used my lovely 20bar frame to blow the tyre off my rim"

Edit: was this the same site that had the 100k wheels?

What would it weigh if you filled it with helium? :whistling:

At 20 bar helium is about 3 times denser than air at 1 bar, so your frame will weigh more, by a ball hair.

A frame as a pressure vessel, What could go wrong?

Make sure you wear your kevlar panties so your mangina doesn't get blown off!

I think it is a really cool idea.

A pump doesn't give you the same ability to seat a tubeless tyre, large volume of air quickly.

Also would be a lot less wasteful than co2 cartridges and over time cheaper?

Why would it be any less safe than co2 cartridges where you are carrying something under extreme pressure, just needs to be designed to withstand that pressure and the quoted figures seem more than capable.

1st prize would be , if you were able to have it installed into existing frames.

Very interesting, bring it on!

So essentially you are swapping one or two bombs for a hose connector that has to be long enough to reach both wheels, otherwise you would have to take the wheels off to get it in reach of a shorter hose. The trails will be full of these lying next to the list Sahmuraais

I don't like the place where the bottle cage is fitted on the test rig.

Why not use clamps for the bottle cage ? Rivnuts are out for obvious reasons.

The bicycle industry will not see any benefit in this.
