So much drama, bike changes for Roglic, Bianchi bikes obviously are horrdendous at handling as Roglic and Steven lost it down hill.

Nibali was actually getting caught by Roglic before he planted it into the barriers.

Movistar without Mr Peak 365 is actually a team I really enjoy now. They have some of the best tactics during the Giro.

How much time can Roglic gain in final TT 2:35-4:00 min?

So I wonder what Landa is thinking right now? He raced at sky and was not allowed to attack the leaders jersey and now he still can't attack the jersey. But will he obey orders or will he attack?

He won't gain much time on Nibali but all he needs to do is keep him behind him and its all good. Carapaz he will gain more but I think he needs to make sure it's less than 2 min. I think the standings going into the TT will be pretty much the same as they are now and then after the TT it will look different. Tom also won it in the TT didn't he?

Meh. Rest day blues. Swear they do it just to get you glimpse for what awaits when the race wraps up. This is what your days will look like until the next GT, scouring cycling sites for interesting facts, having to listen to the podcasts that you'd saved up because you knew this was coming or actually doing work.

I thought about going for a ride but the gift of bronchitis from my kids has me wheezing like a 90 a day smoker just walking up the stairs!

Suddenly The Cycling Podcast "Kilomtere 0" series comes into its own

I'm not so sure

it's only 16kms long.

AND AND AND

last year TdF, Roglic was in 3rd going into the final ITT

guess where he ended up?

The man from Ecuador, I hear, is a gentle and humble man.

His face is all over the media in his beloved country

????????

It’ll be cool if he had a parade in his hometown next week.

Week 3 lies ahead ????

I'll be happy for the man of Ecuador, whoever wins this will surely be deserved of the Maglia Rosa.

Personally, out of the current top 10, my preference for the winner looks as follows:

-Roglic

-Carapaz, Majka, Mollema, Polanc, MA Lopez,

-Nibali, Sivakov, Landa

.

.

.

.

-Yates

PS - I see we are playing the English on Thursday... would be lovely to give them a klap on their home pitches to open the WC.

I was wondering what game Roglic was playing on Saturday. It seems I got my answer on Sunday... dude was just plain running out of gas. I was surprised. I really wanted him to win, but now I'm loving the grit being shown by ALL the top guys out there. Except Yates, what a knob.

Yates seems to be the newest member of the club to which Valverde, Cavendish, Moscon and Sam Gaze are long time members.

Imo Carapaz has almost enough time now to defend over 16km. 1 min should win it, I think.

though a bike change for any of the GC now can scupper things quite drastically, as we've seen.

Roglic not looking so rock solid anymore, anything can happen from here, except maybe a Yates GC win.. ;)

Anyway, looking forward to the final week of the Giro!

To be fair the guy had a mechanical, went back to a team car that was taking the piss (literally) then grabbed a team mates bike and managed to ride back to the leaders. Then he crashed his mates bike and still rode it to the finish losing very little time.

Nice video of the sheet hitting the fan when the DS and mechanics realise that their pee stop has been interrupted by Primoz needing them, you cant script this stuff and the rider's face at the end shows panic stations, that sticky bottle cost CF200

Holy shibbles. How fast were they driving and overtaking the caravan? Sketchy as hell.

Thanks for sharing????
