So many complaints these days ...everything is INSTANT...well ok not so the internet in sunny SA ...BUT on the whole the world wants it all to HAPPEN NOW!!!...Your order something ...it must arrive ..NOW...you have a problem it must be sorted NOW...and so it goes on n on....same with service....one gets friendly help from a sales assistant and slight slip of something and ALL hell breaks loose ....even if the company makes it up ..its ALWAYS the worst service  and I will NEVER go back there comments and and and,,,

With this being said , praise is due when worthy ...we found a beaut bike on here advertised by Bike Market and my son contacted them and what great help with advice etc etc ....they never tried once to talk him into another bike BUT just gave him sound advice re set ups etc etc...

His bike arrived today as promised I might add and ANYONE looking to get a pre owned ...need to look no further than BIKE MARKET....their courier fees are damn value as well I might add as is the no cost return policy...

So all in all a really GREAT experience and a HUGE RESPECT to Bike Market...

SALUTE!!

Sir Kenty.

We try hard and get it right mostly! When we don't we are accountable for the errors too.

A review like this is greatly appreciated and makes us proud to get people on Bikes!!!!

With deep gratitude and thanks.

I got a bike from them, very friendly over the phone and what not.

But, I never got my water bottle cage with which I added and the tyres the bike came with wasn't the same as in the ad, I got two Spez Slaughters front and rear which honestly is a very big bummer that tyre on the front was no good I tried it, so extra cost of getting a new tyre.

And I honestly think they hide the worst damage in their ads but that is just me.

Overall, just another 2nd hand option.

Had a similar experience buying a fork from them a while back. On the photo's the fork looked mint. When I received it, the fork was bone dry inside due to an oil leak, seals was busted and the stanchions looked like it was mauled by a bear.

The ended up refunding me for a seal kit, but didn't take any responsibility for the damage.

Luckily I got a  crown assembly from a fellow hubber for the fork, else I would have had to chuck the fork in the bin.

Can't and wont recommend any dealings with them

Excellent service from Bike Market! I was looking for a clamp for my SRAM guide brakes so I put it on MTB do it Downhill on FB... Within 5 minutes, Alex replied that he had one for me at Bike Market.

Within an hour it left the shop on its way to me in Tzaneen / Limpopo!!!

This is the best customer service/care I have experienced from any shop as far as I can remember.

Well done Bike Market team!!!

I am thankful for the forums and posts like this. Saw a bike in the classifieds (and linked to Bikemarket website).

A few pictures only, all show the bike looking pristine. I use Bikehub direct message and ask for details on damage/scratches. Message ignored despite them having read the message and been online multiple times since I asked.
Online chat via their website, same result.

Late today I received a WhatsApp from BikeMarket with an apology for the lack of reply to online enquiry and an offer to send what ever pictures I wanted.

Got a lot of pics of the bike, 2 x videos and a voice note. I feel they have redeemed themselves with respect to my original gripe

Just wanted to give update to my experience with BM.

Seems there have been differing experiences.

All stores probably have good and bad days due to whatever reason.

Some try hard to redeem themselves, others just don't care.

So I completed a small transaction with Bike Market over the weekend.

It started on Saturday with shipping calculation being incorrect at which point I stopped transaction.

I popped off an email suggesting they perhaps have a look at this.

Being a long weekend I wasn't expecting any response until this week.

Wasn't long though when I received an email apologizing for the inconvenience.

It further offered free shipping if I wished to complete the order.

I had a question on one of the items.

An immediate answer wasn't possible, but, we'll get somebody into store on Sunday to confirm.

Confirmation received and order placed.

Dispatched Tuesday morning, received earlier today.

Personalised note included thanking me for purchasing from them, and apologizing again for any inconvenience.

Have they gotten things wrong in the past - probably. And they probably will in future too.

But my experience was worthy of me taking time to post here.

Bike Market appears to have set their customer services bar particularly high.

Kudos.!

I was a bit disappointed by bikemarket.

Put in order and payment on Tuesday last week for to CX tyres.

Was hoping to have them before the weekend.

It took them until Thursday to respond.

This after sending a couple of emails.

Pick up from Joburg only happened Friday morning and only received tyres on Tuesday late afternoon.

Just before 5, when we close.

I am use to service from Rapide which at the longest was 2 days.

Normally next day.
