And what's ben talking about mixed wheel sized bikes?... Was he joking.. Or is that legit? I'm a bit out of touch at the minute

Yip. The UCI have scrapped the mixed-wheel size rule, so riders can now run bikes with mixed wheel sizes. Hart and a couple of others are on Frankenwheelers.

650b rear and 29 front , give roll over and snappy rear end

best of both or worst of both depending what you're preffred style is

greg is flying on 29's but I think Hart is suited to smaller wheels ( rumors he's also riding mixed size wheels AFAIK )

is Hart not challenged in the height dept vs Mr Minn

According to Google:

Danny is 178cm (same as Gwin)

Greg is 191cm.

So the larger frame and bigger wheels makes sense for Greg. But there is also riding style to take into account. Cathro did a test recently of 27.5 vs 29er which was interesting.

Remember the days when there was a joke about a mixed wheel sized bike.... How times have changed...

Just wait for dedicated 650 rear and 29 front frames to arrive , *facepalmtotheindustry

There are a few teams on mixed wheel sizes. Spez have a new Demo with 29 in front. Danny is on mixed sizes and Maes was enduroing on a mixed up bike. Valli Holl who is not tall is on a 29er so I'm sure Hart could cope. Rachel is also.

My team is a mish mash of up and coming talent with one old dog as in Bulldog. My big money is on Tanhee. I hope she's sandbagging a bit. Her insta pic in the new kit shows some bulging muscles, so here's hoping :-)

There were some training videos of Tahnee earlier this year - deadlifting, etc. She's strong and Rachel will have to watch out!

Really?! So in 2017 Greg was 3rd overall and Danny was 6th. In 2018 Greg was injured for just about the whole season. When did this floor wiping happen?

one thing Tahnee didn't lack was physical strength. If anything, the last few races last year showed she has a brittle temperament that spilt over into pithey. World champs was it, where she was tjankerig and bitter. Wasn't a good look, and i lost alot of respect for her. I expect Rachel to crush her again, and this time, I hope she carries herself in a more dignified manner. then she's a champ, win or lose.

There is no way greg is 191cm more like 188cm on a good day.
