Got back from Holiday in Jan 2018 @ 86kg.

Managed to sit at 79-81 through 2018.

Got back this year sitting @83kg and would like to get down to 77kg.

Other goal is to also be a bit more consistent with riding through the year.

Training has dropped off for a month or so after an event, need to keep the momentum going.

Could we make it just "weight" please and not "weight loss"

It is as much of a problem for me to put on weight than for many to lose weight.

6'1" at 67kg - need to be minimum of 75kg

Decided to give crossfit the backseat this year and focus more on endurance sports.

Need to get down from 95kg to 87kg. Hopefully I can lose a big chunk of that before the Knysna Bull at the end of Feb.

Plan is to check calories and cut the crap.

I'm back in again, again!

Mother of a chest infection Aug to November 2018 scuppered my efforts, but used the time to adjust what I forced down the gullet.

I was on track to drop the 16kg I gained in 2016 / 2017 to end up weighing 124.5kg, from a low of 108kg. Last year my daughter was born, and all of a sudden I am back at 121.5

My realistic target is 95kg. My dream target is sub 90.

My Karoo to Coast last year was atrocious, and I attribute the lack of training to becoming a new daddy (Not complaining about that though).

I have started my CTCT training already, and have racked up nearly 700km since 24th Nov 18. I am also going to be doing serious gym sessions focusing on core, pens-vet, leg and arm strength over the next 12 months. My diet is going to be overhauled as well, as I am very motivated by FirstV8's successes last year, and would love to reach such lofty heights of weight management success.

My end goal is to be fitter in order to ride better, but also to look better, and most importantly be able to keep up with my babba as she grows and becomes more active.

Babies and toddlers in the house during the first at least 4 years takes a lot of time, so don't be in too much of a hurry with that. Your free time will start making a come-back!

We'll keep you motivated as we slog through the fat together - fistbump!

Not a Before and After...rather a Before and During. Looking back and realizing how far I have actually come since June 2017 to get me motivated for 2019 again after this three weeks of binge eating! Still a long way to go, but at least there has been some change since then.. apart from the weight, the overall health benefits and fitness gains feels amazing. For the first time in about 15 years I went 2018 without one day of being sick. I can get on my bike and ride 100km into the mountains with relative ease, something that seemed absolutely crazy and impossible to me two years ago, and my resting heart rate is down to below 40.53a4c6b60970526ddcb47bde104176a3.jpg

I was steadily losing the weight towards the end of last year (September to November lost 7kg's) and then the disastrous December over indulgence, luckily only gained around 3kg's....must get my head back in the game and also need to get my fitness up and more time on the bike.

Bring on 2019!!!

I'm in. Info loaded. Picked up 14kgs last year thanks to two operations and not being able to train at all . Back on the bike since the middle of November. Extra motivation will hopefully help me lose the weight. Good luck to everyone.

Shees, dude.

RHR of <40? How'd you manage that? Lance Armstrong apparently had a RHR of somewhere in the 30's during his, ahem, 'prime'. So, pretty impressive.

Haha, I guess it's partially genetics..and suffering for an hour up a hill on a daily basis! Even when I was at 125kg, smoking and super unfit, my resting HR was around 72, which I think is lowish for an unfit person. I actually measured 34 bpm the other night during my sleep.. Usually it's between 36-40 when I'm sleeping/resting, and as soon as I get up and start moving around it picks up to between 50-60. As I'm sitting here now, drinking coffee and typing this, it reads 43.
