Stolen Cotic Soul 26”

Stolen this morning my Cotic Soul Black small frame with Fox RL black fork. Second generation frame with integrated hanger. Had Sram XX1 brakes XTR 1x9, brand new Schwalbe tubeless tyres. Brooke’s Cambium C17s Probably never to be seen again but might be broken up and sold for parts.

Sorry to hear.  Bad luck, it can happen to any of us.  Glad my bike is not as lekker as yours. They knew quality when they saw it.

It really sounds like someone who knows bicycles and knew  exactly what he was after. Sad to even THINK that it could be a fellow cyclist, but I just cannot ban the thought from my mind!

 

Edit: Is there perhaps cctv footage? (I don't know the area at all.) Or down the road? Maybe it is possible to see how he arrived? Walked in, drove in (car reg.?). How did he leave? Picked up by a vehicle down the road?

He walked in dressed in cycling kit, took the bike that was leaning against the deck 1m away from where people were sitting,  and walked out with it and disappeared onto the Spruit.

 

In retrospect, an immediate shout-out and chase by a posse on horseback bikes would have chased him down, but what then ?
