Two shades of blue with a giant white M............................

Uphill from the get-go tomorrow.

Gonna watch the start just to find out whether this is a rendering error or what...?

Another stage where the climbing is over quite a bit before the end. So far those have been pretty dull viewing from a GC perspective.

This one does have an HC climb so that may well thin things out a bit more.

Yeah I doubt we will see the same separation we did on the climb yesterday, but there might still be time gaps over the top as Pogacar will surely keep fighting and Lopez can smell 2nd.

A couple of riders could then come back together on the descent and work together to the line to bank some time differences.

Gut feeling says the breakaway will take it today, so the time bonuses will most likely not come into play.

Are you counting the ITT as a mountain stage?

Wout Van Aert gonna win, Roglic second, some random out of left field third and Pogacar fourth on the day.

Seeing as three of the names mentioned are some of the best climbers this year, I'll go with the TT being a medium mountain stage.

I am not discounting TommyD for an ITT podium

Yesterday's stage was super hard hey?, I had seen an interview with Porte saying, it was the hardest stage his raced in his career! A GC shake up for sure... As for Lopez, wow thats impressive stuff ,riding away from the best climbers! That guy could be big a name to watch for 2021 TDF.

Another good performance was the yank Semp, also got bags of talent and emerging on that hardcore steep sections, spinning away on gear ratios that are not traditional. His young should be on a podium in the near future.

As for Bernal, wow, never knew he would exit in these way... kinda breaks a cycling code in my books as his team have been killing themselves and then you don't finish in Paris with them? Yeah yes showing young riders if you not at your best, just pull out. He should of fought all the way and finished, sponsors under the current Covid, want brand milage, so its not a good move from Ino.

Finally KOM is of a worthy wearer! Lets see how it fares... to Paris. Finally a suitable rider steps up and makes the jersey proud.

So onto today, another insane climbers day out.. again this stage will have losers and winners. several sections offer good gains... I think with Astana, there will be a plan, expect Lopez to bring his climber legs to the front!  Lets see 'Hurt' once again appear foe the last time!

Fight for 2nd and 3rd up for grabs.

RE Bernal... His team pulled him from the race as he was riding with an injury which they don't want to compound. There is still a lot of racing to come this year and it is pointless ruining a rider for prides sake.

Superman Lopez is already an amazingly decorated cyclist. Won the best young rider jersey at Giro and Vuelta as well as winning quite a few week long tours already. His star is certainly set to shine with the other 20 something riders down the line.

I'm glad you are enjoying the tour! Sepp Kuss is definitely a pure climber worth watching. His ex mountain bike fluid pedal stroke is fantastic to watch!

To be fair, Porte has not made it to the second week of a GT for ages so has missed out on a few tough stages.

@Pure Savage

You know what's going to blow your mind.. Tejay has now survived the day after both rest days and is still there.
