Possible story reading between lines.

  • OP asked for bike to be services/repairs, but as this was for a development rider asked if Eagle Canyon would do it for free
  • EC agreed saying only pay for parts and they would fit it in when the workshop was not busy
  • 94.7 is happening, workshop busy and unable to fit in the repairs as there is no free time and paying customers come first.
  • OP comes back after 2 weeks expecting bike, nothing done on it.
  • OP makes some comments
  • Conrad looses it as had offered to do it for free and if he did lot like it, could take his bike elsewhere.
  • Friday fight club ensued ....

But what do I know, am also guessing at the story!!

Waiting to see if OP will return to give more details or is this just to be a one hit wonder?

Also waiting to see how this story unfolds....

Shaper surely you must know that the OP has made his one and only comment with his side of the story and doesn't really care as long as he's vented.

if you sponsoring a cyclist and he has no bike for 2 weeks. what did you pay him for for half the month?

OP didn't say anything about "paying" the rider. Sponsorship can come in many forms and need not be "pay" derived....especially development riders.

All the guys here hammering the OP for being a one post wonder maybe stop to consider that he/she felt so strongly about being mistreated he felt the need to make it known here....same principle applies to posting on Hellopeter.com....

Conrad has the right to reply here or they can take it off line and choose or not, to come back here to report back or close the matter..........

Doesnt matter if its his/her first post. We all made a first post.

While there are those who seem extremely loyal to Eagle Canyon Cycles, one cannot ignore the number of complaints about them on the Hub....

So holding my breath for the 'there are 3 sides to this story" bikehub kernel of wisdom.

OK just because you're special I'll bite....

Theres always 5 sides to a story. His side , his/her side, the truth and the Hubside and the Vegan side

No sign of Mr 1-post OP. Eagle Canyon is such a clickbait typical Friday rage thread. And face it.. we love it.

It's the bikehub equivalent of a soapie where the antagonist just keeps coming back.

My 2c: I don't like them one bit, however I don't like most bicycle shops other than my carefully selected holy grail LBS.

I do agree with what has already been said: Getting a bicycle service and expect it to be prioritized during 94.7 season is a really dumb idea.

Doesnt actually matter if they take the bike in then they need to do the job..if they were too busy to do it then they should've said sorry can't help you atm.

Perhaps, perhaps not..but that's one hell of an assumption... [emoji23]

just maybe our development rider should take more responsibility to check on the status of his beloved bike...and what was he training on? or no training....?

as for the image of the bike person/owner having a beer...ok sometimes you need it...( after work)...

sometimes we are too spoilt...
