I did the least amount of riding in 2019 since I started cycling in 2006. I did however get back on my bike in December and so far so good, doing at least 3 rides a week. I don't get to do many miles though as I use a cheap indoor trainer quite often, so no distance stats. Also, my normal route is very hilly with loose rock, so a good 1 hour workout produces only 12km. Does anyone else focus more on time rather than distance?

Honestly 90% of my cycling in on the wahoo, power based training. So for me it is time at various power outputs and tss. Distance is totally irrelevant.

For running though it is different and most training plans are distance based.

Yeah, I also focus on time more than distance because I run, swim, road and mountain bike so the distances are really not comparable at all. Even indoor trainer vs outdoor riding speeds aren't completely comparable although I've tried to get the right gear on the indoor trainer for it to be vaguely comparable to road cycling.

I was off to a good 2020, then Wednesday brought some bad luck... absolutely stupid incident.

Bumped a coffee mug on the granite counter, it cracked and pieces landed on my toes. 6 stitches later, I'll be down for a while just going by how bad the pain is when walking, so slipping on cycling shoes aint gonna happen anytime soon. :cursing: :cursing:
