EmptyB Posted January 5, 2020 Share For 250g I'll stick to GX thanks. Hell, I just bought a new multi tool which is 130g lighter than the one I've used for the past 2 years. dasilvarsa
WrightJnr Posted January 5, 2020 Share If you can’t go fast....Look fast! Well that’s my approach anyway [emoji41] Can’t say I’ve had much success though, I get found out pretty quickly! Riaan H
Christie Posted January 5, 2020 Share I just found it interesting in the tiny weight difference and the massive price difference between the two. ????It is interesting. Im think the explanation is simply capitalism. Me rida my bicycle

I went for GX Eagle because I'm an accountant and it makes sense at every level... It doesn't mean I'm not just a little jealous of friends with the gold goodies (and lets not get into the oily ASX!) Iwan Kemp Posted January 6, 2020 Share Learned something new last year. In SRAM's line up, XX1 and X01 are both top tier groupsets. XX1 = XCX01 = Trail So XX1 = XTR RaceX01 = XTR TrailGX = XTNX = SLXSX = Deore DieselnDust and Patchelicious
Christie Posted January 6, 2020 Share ☝️ possibly, by GX is quite crappy compared to XT imo. (Not intending to stir a manufacturer debate) Eddy Gordo

Shebeen Posted January 6, 2020 Share Law of diminishing returns means the distinction between noticeable value is hard to measure at the top end of the spectrum.Sometimes you're paying more for a tangible upgrade/improvement, sometimes an intangible sometimes just a different sticker. Things are worth what people are prepared to pay. Funny how defensive some people got before the usual questions even came out. It's ok for the rest of us, these are the guys who keep the bikeshops solvent as they need to upgrade to the latest model each year to stroke their own ego. Skubarra Posted January 7, 2020 Share GX = XTNX = SLX Certainly the most expensive cycling mistake I made in recent times is looking at the price of the NX groupset and being under the impression that I bought better quality than a SLX groupset.
