How do you establish an ANT+ connection to an Android phone? I know iPhone as an ANT+ dongle

Please educate me as its something I'd like to try

Some Android phones came with the ability to do ANT+. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was one I remember...For some other phones you need to install some sort of small App.

 

But for a while now allot of phones do not come with this ability anymore.

 

(This is how I understand it. I'm most probably wrong though.)

some androids have ANT+ capability built into them, but it's phone-specific. My old Galaxy Note used to have it, as did my old Huawei whatever.

I have the S20 Ultra, I use the Zwift App for running and it pairs my Run Pod and HRM without any dongle or need for 3rd party apps.

 

On my older S7 and S9, I had to use some 3rd party ANT app that I found on playstore to connect devices.

The S10 and S10 plus both have ANT+ connectivity, so I'm sure it would be the same for the S20.

Look on the Samsung phone models on their website. They list under Specs whether a specific phone is ANT enabled

I filled out the on-line warrantee form last night and this morning it took 5 mins for Dyllan to confirm the status of the machine and another five to sort the paperwork and to put a new machine in the boot of my car.
