Schnavel Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 I don't think he was referring to the width being an issue. The Renegade has an extremely thin sidewall that punctures if you give it a fright. Exactly - these tyres are made of paper ChUkKy and Grease_Monkey 2
Swannie87 Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Very nice bike! Congratulations ???? Just a question, with the goal being to get it as light as possible why didn't you opt for the Roval Control SL ltd wheels instead of the stock Contol SL wheels? The Magura MT8 sl brakes are also a bit lighter than the Formulas you chose? Again, super nice bike but there are quite a few places where you can drop a substantial amount of weight and I was just wondering how you chose the parts

Monark Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Nice build bud. Could easily be lighter with a few tweaks so the owner has a lot more fun to have which is great.

Not trying to be a chop here, just noting that if you really want to in the future drop the weight you can still. ChUkKy 1

Hairy Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Does a racing bike really really need a dropper post?If you are racing the "modern XC" course ... then yes. T_Boss 1
StevieG Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Thought I may be able to drop some weight on my bike without spending a bucketload of money, found a set of Titanium screws for my stem for R600, for 4 Decided to lose weight around my gut instead.... Stevief Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 But if rode that bike thing on pats track it would break in half.
