I am so psyched up after the CTCT & almost a year of no road events no rain will keep me from pitching on Saturday

Also literally the one race on the calendar where both the start and finish lines are only a few 100 meters from my house, I'm back home from the race before the rest of my family even wakes up on Saturday morning.

Just got my SMS with my race number.

Had a E seeding before CTCT, now got a $ number for this race.

Hoe de hel?

No ways I'm gonna keep up with those fast guys.

Just make sure you don't get dropped at the first small rise at Fisantekraal ???? 

Happened to me last time I rode $ at Durbie Dash - nothing to crush the ego & spoil your race like getting dropped in the first 5km..

This year dropping back to ride with the DC team, so I am not allowed to be dropped

It's a fast race, but you'll be fine.
The traditional $ field is slightly reduced due to epic, which opened some spots for non-regulars...

Not too bad actually. I think we got really lucky with the conditions and I would 100% do it again in those conditions (and 100% not spend as much energy as I did early on haha). The one bottle strategy worked well for 2h15 ish
