And they still don’t look like chasing yates. He is riding away to win the giro. Or looks like they do not have the legs to chase?🤣

I would sell one of my Bitcoinz to get a transcript of the last 90 minutes of radio communication between GC rider and the DS for both EF and UAE.
And footage of the teams’ debriefing. 🫠

Sensational. Dramatic. Beautiful racing. The intrigue of sport at the highest level.

If someone placed a R500 bet at the start of Giro that Simon Yates was going to win the GC they could’ve pocketed R17K today 😝

And Simon Yates weeps, after 8 years or so after losing the pink jersey up the very same climb.
Chapeau!

Some digits from Stravus. 20 race days later. Up a legendary climb. The amount of hard work, grit and consistency in sweat drops, remarkable.

From what I could see, Wout broke their spirit with that pull on the valley road.

If he wasn't there, they(Carapaz & DelTorro) might have stayed in contention.

Well done Visma. Snatching it from UAE on stage 20, revenge for that shock loss to Pogačar in the 2020 TDF on stage 20.

When yates hooked up with wout the damage was done. It was too late to undo the silly riding (or non riding at all for that matter).

At 1 time when carapaz attacked and try to shake Toro, they were within 20s of Yates. Toro should've gone to sit in on Yates and that kills that threat too.

Hide sight.

As Geno said, would love to know what was message/thinking over the radios.

Ai, looks like I missed a great day’s racing and drama ! Yates wrestling the Maglia Rosa from Del Toro,

crazy stuff, it’s not just Del Toro, he surely has team orders ?

Wow, guess he’ll learn from this, and so will UAE for that matter .
I reckon the DS is in the firing line for not guiding a young rider on the cusp of a grand tour victory.

Well clearly they do not learn, this is exactly how they lost the TDF a couple of years ago i.e. send WVA up the road and wait for Vingegaard to link up.

If it was the team saying “Sit up and wait”….. in that situation there’s been a couple a pure bred racers from the past who replied… “F@ck you”… pull out the earpiece and ride as if their lives depended on it. IDT is young but I’d expect if he could he would!

Massively disappointed for Del Toro but can't blame him, he is young and will learn. Not sure who the clowns were in the UAE car but seems they were recruited from Movistar. Absolutely clueless watching WvA go in the break and then Yates riding away to bridge to him.
