I recon they will win easily with no disrespect to last years winners (I was front row seat to them dishing out in A batch)

If they gel, they'll be hard to beat in that category. 👌

They're really good mates away from the racing circus

These guys put the "ry" in "rivalry". The person who wrote the title just needs to follow suit now.

Should finish in top 10

Depending how big the field is. Remember they won't be starting with the UCI riders so riding their own race/pace completely.

is Platt racing on an Spez Epic?

Apologies if i missed it in the article

Not mentioned. Highly unlikely.

Does Platt not own Bulls?

Probably different bike brands like Lill and Strauss.

i dont think he owns Bulls but you probably right about him riding a Bulls.

He seems integral to the brand.

Not to derail the topic but why doesnt Bulls sell in SA considering its success and history in the Epic. Even the camera bikes are Bulls bikes. Seems like Bulls is making such an investment in the Race but not bothered with selling their bikes here.

Platt on a Bulls and Sauser on a Specialized. Songo.info will be a beneficiary.

Nothing unusual, many a team pairing past and present with different bike sponsors. Like Lill and Strauss, Cannondale and Giant.

The brand return on the event carries more value in the German/Euro market than SA. Cape Epic has a massive fan base in Germany. Besides, South Africa has an unbelievably brand saturated market.

Adding another "choice" wont hurt anyone ... :), besides some personal budgets that is ...

one would think you could paint them light blue and they would sell flippen well in petoria too?!!

i do find it odd they've never tried this market properly, i think there was an attempt and then they just never bothered further.
