If Flückiger’s positive test is confirmed. Will Nino Schurter then have won 34 World Cups?

I think it’s safe to assume that just because he rides for a boutique brand, does not imply that the team is underfunded and does not pay their top riders on par with other teams.

Seems to be a pretty cutting edge company, and with all development and manufacture taking place in Switzerland, possibly one of the most expensive countries on earth to manufacture, I don’t think they are short on cash.

But I’m starting to figure out there are a handful of people on here that know everything about everything, and everyone else is automatically wrong. So I’m done for the day. Off to ride my bike instead.

I definitely don't claim to know everything about everything.

But if you honestly think his bike is manufactured in Switzerland then I have some bad news for you about a bunny rabbit who brings chocolate once a year round about the time they do the 2 oceans marathon. Next week we can discuss that big guy with the red coat who travels by reindeer.

Enjoy your ride.

Cool, since you obviously have more accurate data, why not let us know? Is it closer to 1mil, or closer to 100k?

All good and well calling me out on the inaccuracy of my Google search (which included verified prize pots for the WC races)

3500 Euros for a World Cup win. 10000 Euros if you win the overall title on points at the end of the season

If it does then good for him. The whole case seems odd. If the result was below the detectable limit why was it even made public let alone a positive?

This is potentially a career ending "event".  It most certainly cost him dearly in points and financial gain for the 2022 season ....

Did they botch it up ?

Is this just the same old word games that so often play after an "actual positive" to blow smoke ?

Will we ever know the real truth ?

my conspiracy theory, Swiss Federation wanted Nino to get those titles to break the records and there was only one man standing in his way

*Take Him Down, Take Him Down....

#Roger That.

Compensation is 1 million I think it will be more.

law suits in coming....

I have no doubt. the loss of income and reputation has to be protected so he has no choice really. I suspect there will be an out of court settlement.

Conspiracy theories aside, mistakes get made but there appears to be so many in the the way this was handled it makes one wonder if Occam's Razor applies

Why haven't they touched the B sample? if that comes back with zero then he is off the hook immediately? if it doesn't then he has the same case

I suspect they don't want to give the, what I understand to be an experimental test method, any credibility by having the B sample tested
