binxc Posted November 14, 2022 Share There is no prize money for Munga either and also not CSA event any more, probably more of a deterrent to the big names. Usually the organisers publish the entry list closer to kickoff, from what I recall in previous years. Makes me sadder in retrospect that Lachlan Morton had to pull out of last year's event; I doubt they will get names on the list like that again if the situation remains as is. I love the Munga but you are right their media coverage is really terrible. The Munga social media pages are a mess. They look like their content was created by the same people that do media for Game, Makro or the Fish and Chips co.... It was a Bitcoin prize purse rather than cash per se - I vaguely recall when I read the T&Cs at that time, one had the option of keeping it in the wallet or cashing it out. Wow, no prizemoney at all? that was always the big thing here, even though the million dollar never happened it was a case of expensive entry but big $$$ payout. Previous champ marco martins is on the list. I see 145x R28 900 = R4.2m entry fees revenue. Surely there is space in the budget for prizemoney? I really wonder if the demand is neverending for a sufferfest like this, although the cap is 150 they came very close to it here.
