Received this automated email response on 10 November, still waiting to hear more.😴

I often look for prices on BikeAddict and then check if Cycle Lab has it, since BikeAddict is cheaper for pretty much everything, and then price match at Cycle Lab, I have saved many a Rands doing this, it is extra admin, but it is worth it to me

Agreed.
Its very laborious indeed, but sometimes their low prices are worth the admin.
If you have time on your side...

I suppose it depends on how you value your own time. Is it worth 10 emails back and forth over a fortnight to save R500 on a R3k item?

If you're a student, Hell YEAH!

OK, so my recent experience was actually pretty OK.

I 'ordered' 2 items online last Thursday (One of which was R1000 cheaper than anywhere else, so it felt worth the admin)
They sent their quote on Friday evening. which I paid immediately.
They confirmed receipt of payment on the Saturday saying that they will now prepare the order and dispatch as soon as its ready.
Cynical me said 'OK, so now starts the wait'.
The stuff arrived unannounced this morning (Thursday)!
I was going to be cross about no tracking number, but I have the items in my hand, so best I be grateful.

Not much admin or a particularly long wait, so definitely worth it!

I bought from them more than 10 times, including bikes.  Never actually had a major problem.  Their whole system can and should be upgraded.

Once, the wrong item was sent, but the fault was quickly fixed.  I paid for another order today.

I shamelessly do the same😅. Although CWC, which is now a CL are wise to this…they begrudgingly do it though. They full well know bike addict never carries stock, and the price match policy states the other store must have the item in stock.
so here in CT shops frown at you when you say BA. Also check and use Obike for CL pricematch;

omnico’s non B2B online store basically. CL then has no leg to stand on because most their stuff comes from there anyway lol

i used this to get R600!!!! (R1800 vs R1300) off my new fav floorpump in the universe - the Ryder Airtank 2.0. Using it is what it must have felt like to discover fire…seating a tubeless mtb tyre has never been so easy.

after i asked for pricematch, I also waited to the last second to deal the final blow…adding my R400 ‘mycyclelife’ voucher👀

that then meant i also got to choose a free R100 item from the sales table to to total amount spend haha. ‘Cleaned’ them out that day for no real money - #notsorry

The way I have exploited their system is enough to make most people blush I think, I am surprised that they are not paying me to take things at this point, but they pay people to create these systems, if they are not able to see the blindingly obvious ways to play the system, well then they must maar sukkel, if someone from CycleLab is reading this, I am available as a consultant to help prevent these things 🤣😂🤣
