 would also subscribe to Jasper Verkuijl’s channel on YouTube. He’s an amateur but very fit and finished 3rd at the epic in the Amateur category. His videos are top notch quality and bring a more racing perspective from the amateurs. It’ll probably be a while though before he edits and uploads it but yeah he’s the go to guy for amateur racing. His content on the Haute Route events are top class.

And it’s here boys. Strap in for 2 hours of goodness🤗

Hey All 2024 participants.

I have a small question / favor to ask.

My rider bag was stolen at the guest house where I left it in March (couldn’t take it overseas due to too much luggage with bike). It’s more an emotional thing to get my race bag. Does anyone of you would like to part with your bag, of course I would pay for it a reasonable price.

I have plenty of friends in Cape Town area to do a „handover“.

Baie Dankie

Ok well looking at the uci men category the field is pretty light on competition.
outdoor Toyota Songo (ninety one no longer sponsoring?) have Scott sram and speed company for serious competition with two singer teams maybe vying for stage wins here and there.

the ladies race has the weakest field in years and only 11 teams in total?! That’s pretty poor.
Annika Langvad coming out of retirement to team up with Sophia Villafane. The much anticipated Lill / Courtney alliance didn’t carry over past Tankwa Trek so the strongest next best team is the Moschetti / Shepard combo at team e-Fort. Yes you read that correctly, no cape epic for Candice this year.

this is a good opportunity for the local ladies teams to shine as there potentially 2 podium places up for grabs.

I reckon that the Imbuko boys will be right up there for at least a few stages...

I must say that I was quite bummed to see that Candice wasn't racing (with or without Kate).
I am happy to see that Annika is back. Strong combo (one horse race?)

@Shebeen

you not opening a 2025 thread....?

since this is where the chit chat is happening, i just removed the year from the topic title.

I haven't followed it too much, but Beers looks like he's found another diesel to klap it for the Win again.
