its an aero cover. reduces drag between the cassette and wheel spokes while freewheeling. Its worth at least 20W

In that case, do they charge extra for it?

Odd that we aren't getting AnthemX's, it looks like more versatile bike for the "average Joe".

I am always quite intrigued by the “average Joe’s “ requirement for a longer travel bike. Launch a 120mm bike and they want a 130mm. Give them the 130 and they want a 140 yet they have mastered none….

your “average Joe” is a gravel biker.

its a bit like needing a 4tjuna to drop the kids at school

Most of them can't even manage a small rock garden without soiling themselves, so more travel is more better. The success of the Epic Evo locally shows that the Anthem X has a place in the lineup for SA

Evo is 120mm

X is a 130mm

im sure that is a sweet spot but I guarantee once it arrives reviewers will be moaning for 140mm

joe average will follow like sheeple..

ibis just launched a Ripley SL with 130/120 and it will replace the Exie.

reviewers and Joe average  are loaning it’s not as light as the exie. Slaan my met n pap snoek, but a him manufacturer and distributor can never satisfy cyclists. I reckon 120 is overkill For Joe average and more travel isn’t going to get through those rock gardens any easier than 120.
