Great tribute

"I was informed today by a friend in South Africa that Ray Phiri had passed away. He was a beautiful, masterful guitarist and an inventive musician. He will be remembered as a patriot who used his music to fight apartheid and brought that message to the world. His contribution to 'Graceland' was immense and I am grateful and honored to have worked with him."

Ek sing ‘n liedjie sonder fancy woorde

Hierdie woorde maak ‘n prentjie

Koor:
Laat my besef hy was ‘n pa vir ons almal

Koor:

Its really only when you watch something like this that you realise how great Ray Phiri and Hugh Masekela really are. We take our SAfrican artists for granted and only appreciate them when they gone.

Ray Phiri arranged the graceland album and gave it, its now legendary sound. Amazing talent!

studio recording is a little better, but live is always good.

edit ... dropped in the studio version instead, live recording quality was not so lekker

Just saw Chester Bennington of Linkin Park age 41 committed suicide.

I tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter.

"When my time comes

Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest"
