Anyone surprised by the average age / weight / demographic in here has evidently not been on your average roadie group ride lately... or maybe that's just the groups I'm fast enough to ride with 😄

At 1.77 I'm exactly on the split between M and L mountain bikes. I've generally been more comfortable on M frames with slightly longer 50-60mm stems but have had issues with my 755mm bb-to-saddle distance causing seatposts to run at ther min insertion.

55cm roadies or M/L gravel bikes are perfecto with ~70mm stems.

Size 10 shoes (it sure looks like I'm more on the Kenyan end of the spectrum of torso/leg length here).

35 (or, halfway through a below average innings)

85-89kg depending on how much I travel and whether it's my birthday month.

Male, 39

1.78m

84kg (lost 9kg since Jan 2024 - mainly by significantly cutting alcohol intake. I still enjoy a good red & beer occasionally)
Enjoy my red meat, chicken, game meat & a good wood fire pizza. Coffee black - strong, no sugar.

Aim is to get to 79kg and then keep it there.

55 Roadbike
L Mtb
Size 10 shoe, medium kit

Also 178cm, oscillating between 83 and 85kg. Target 79kg though people say I’m skinny (that’s because I was fat).

I last drank alcohol in 2021. Prefer chicken and fish to red meat though.

I take my coffee with milk

I recently got into cycling. Bought Large GB on account of OEM recommendations though it feels gigantic now

1.84, 70KG, Size XS (Giant TCR, 515mm top tube). Usually a Medium on an MTB.

My seatpost is out pretty far, I still have some left to go and am well within the safe limit there. I run a 110mm stem and I'm comfy as can be, slightly more comfy here than on my size 50s Colnago I had until October which had a 54cm top tube and a 100mm stem. But my bike is recommended for riders around 30cm smaller than I am.

To be fair, I have a short inseam and a long upper body, but the fact that I'm super comfy on an XS makes me feel like bike companies are trying to me people feel inadequate with their size names. Whenever I see people with their seat-posts hardly out with 90mm stems I think there goes another victim of odd sizing conventions.

Some of you mamils make this mamil look skinny #justsaying

Dare I say I am MAMIL to the core.

Middle aged at 55.

Definately male.

Have not been on a scale in more than a year ... based on a shrinking belt size I am estimating below 90kg now.  (down from 110kg)

And YES, lycra all the way .... :P

Was 1,76m.  Apparently I am now 1,75m

Currently on M bikes.  Loved the fit of the L Scott.
