as said, you buying it out from under Eric little bit by bit, :)

 

do you ever ride Rietvlei or Thaba?

what distance/time/climb/avg did you do this morning

All good 2.7km push home,need new wheel, be back next weekend looking for a new lot next weekend

No I live in edenvale so I do modderfontein when I have to but mostly we do VG and races,today we done 48km 590m average difficult to say with our walk home!!

Whats up with the complete lack of marked signposts at Van Gaalens? For non regulars you basically have to follow any path you find and hope to see a sign lying on the ground every 50km.

Whats up with the complete lack of marked signposts at Van Gaalens? For non regulars you basically have to follow any path you find and hope to see a sign lying on the ground every 50km.

Because it goes over various farms and pvt lands the markings regularly gets stolen / moved by the guys using the trails as walking paths. Really not as bad if you know the place. Also if you have a garmin, download the gpx file and upload as a course.

I actually hit an electric fence there the once and it got stuck in the rear cassette... Let's just say it was a shocking experience :blink: :blush:
