  1. Not taking points because you are afraid of catching the kick off is not attacking rugby.
  2. I keep meaning to practice a 'real' bunnyhop but I never get around to it. Maybe it's because I'm still enjoying my riding despite not being a real mountain biker with super sticky shoes that keeps me procrastinating. Nee man Wednesday evening is the new Friday. Cheers I'm out of here.
  3. I don't understand why we have this uncertainty when we know how to resolve it. Take Froome to Oprah now so we can hear the truth and move on. If he tells her he's clean the matter is closed.
  4. This bike looks the business. I'm not hardcore enough to use it but I respect it.
  5. I think it's the same as with mud. Either a very high volume or a super skinny tyre will work. If the sand is not to deep the skinny tyre cuts through and grips on the ground underneath. I have a set of Bontrager Mud-X tyres for the 26er and they are very narrow but ride like a dream in mud.

  7. Didn't you call her?
  8. Like the others said. They try and get the bottom bracket height the same as 26ers for handling. Now if you add the height of the wheel and the fork the front end is sitting much higher relative to the bottom bracket and therefore the seat. This is exaggerated for small frames and it's difficult to get your bars down low if you roll like that.
  9. Yes sorry I didn't think of that.
  10. Surely you need to make the alternate teeth thicker not grind them? All the teeth already fit the narrow sections of the chain.
  11. Weighs 70g and will recharge a Edge 800 twice. Must be easier to keep this in your bag than use the recharging stations. http://www.takealot.com/cellular-gps/-0/energizer-portable-charger-xp2000,9773772
  12. I read here once about a guy who phoned the traffic department with the reg nr after somebody shot him with a paintball gun. He said he wanted to verify his address because he was waiting for speed fines that didn't arrive. They gave him the address and he went to that address one evening and painted the wall if I remember correctly. Funny story.
  13. I agree it's probably chain length because that type 2 can't pull any harder. I almost need a run up to unlock it when it's time to remove the wheel. Just traveling at the moment so can't look for reference now.
  14. I have read about problems with the type 2 on floating pivot suspensions somewhere. I think they said it battles to keep up with the rapidly changing wheelbase as the suspension works. I might be wrong but I remember a discussion somewhere. I haven't had any issues on my Epic.
  15. Is your suspension set up properly because an Anthem pedals very well without the need for a lockout when set up well? If you're riding marathon distances (I assume that's why you bought the Anthem) the Anthem is a great climber without a lockout and the clutter that comes with it. A good platform like the Maestro is better than a lockout because you have traction 100% of the time when climbing rocky sections etc so ride the bike as is.
  16. If I hear about a cyclist being knocked down my first thought is now what was the cyclist busy doing. Cyclist are becoming more reckless by the day.
  17. Has anybody sourced the Tork Craft one in Port Elizabeth by any chance? Long shot I know.
  18. Yes but the Alu Epic 29er frame is threaded and not pressfit.
  19. Jip any Shimano BB will fit the frame no problem. http://www.easybike.co.za/shimano-xt-bottom-bracket-sm-bb70.html
  20. No you can't but that's no bad thing. Just fit a Shimano BB and XT double crank for trouble free riding.
  21. Unbelievable Wayne, may you get 100x more back than you've given. Now give the man his warning point.
  22. Almost time for the only proper rugby of 2013 to start. I'm supporting the Wallabies.
  23. I have Fast Tracks at the moment. I would say don't go for the S-Works version because they are very squirmish at low pressures due to the thin sidewall but otherwise very nice.
  24. I also thought about this but CSA is difference between cycling being a hobby and a sport. Are they perfect, probably not but as someone who likes cycling I don't mind paying R75 a year so our top cyclists can participate in their sport.
  25. Would be nice if it's Spies because then at least he will have an on-field function.
