  1. yeah, was predicted to be -2 real feel for this mornings ride, so decided to give it a skip. I'll ride that ^^^^ piece of road tomorrow
  2. Opposite direction
  3. looking at the current times, you may not be far off
  4. Look up umbrella effect of sell signal, signal goes straight over you as you get closer. I cant use MTN or Telkom at home because the tower is right behind my house, I found out the hard way.
  5. Wasnt as cold as my weather app said it would be, glad I convinced myself to get out there this morning, was very close to climbing back into bed. I actually think it got colder after sunrise. Oh and can you and Frosty warm up the south there for me on Sunday morning, my folks are away again, so I'll be cycling to Frosty's side, via your side, in order to go check on the house.
  6. Did the same, had Arione for many years, eventually it broke, now ride Fabric Scoop and am happy with it. Butt ( ), everyone's butts react different, so you may need to try a few. I know with the Scoop, coming from the Arione, it took lots of fiddling to get the perfect saddle position.
  7. I suspect all the "issues" listed in his post are related to the one incident
  8. I am disapoint. Yesterday DSTV showed the stage on some Portuguese sports channel, this meant I was able to catch a few minutes here and there during the day, and more importantly watch the last 10km, today it appears to only air on Variety 2, which our package at work does not cover. All streaming site are blocked, so cant watch on PC. Will have to catch updates on the app.
  9. 1650 🤣
  10. Yep. Since replacing my Garmin battery, I’ve been meaning to replace my Lezyne front light battery. It only lasts around 60 minutes on full power, usually not a problem when I’m in the bunch for most of the ride as I just turn it down to half power, but the other day I pulled the bunch for most of the ride, so had it on full, heading home it ran out of juice, so I had minimal light for the last few km.

  12. It IS a sexy looking bike.
  13. science actually. Used to go see him in person every tuesday evening, along with about 50 other schoolkids from the surrounding areas.
  14. my LBS had a launch for this straight after our group ride this morning, I did not stick around so did not even see the bike. No point drooling over new bikes when you cant even afford the tires.
  15. it sounds like you will lancealot in sea point
  16. my 130 has done this a few times.
  17. I know there is not much love for lance on this forum, but strapping him to the front of the bike is a bit extreme isnt it ?
  18. Was going to reply but Jewbecca summed it up nicely. Its both, in the past they'd tell you to just HTFU and deal with it, it was rarely recognised as an illness, you were just deemed weak. On the information side, especially with Social media algorythms tailoring your feeds, its very easy to head down the depression hole with negative information bombarding your social feeds. As someone that suffers with mental health, I often have to check myself when I start to recognise the signs in me, and most times upon evaluation its because I've headed down the negative hole via my social media feeds. Its a continuous struggle and I would imagine someone that in the public spotlight has it 100 times worse.
  19. its more for when you take the bike to the LBS, just leave the Garmin on and they can debit your card as they service.
  20. The problem is, from what I've seen, these packages normally come with the smallest battery the company can offer, which for some tools is not nearly enough. not sure about the higher end tools, but on the consumer level SAFAs want things for free, and preferably with a battery and charger, so not much chance this side to split package deals up.
  21. I'm trying to find pics online but our Nazi IT overlords have blocked every site that has reported on this, but local Bike dealer, Bike King Suzuki burnt to the ground over the weekend. Entire place is gutted, they had plenty bikes in stock, all gone. Not a pretty sight.
  22. So then stop talking *** about them in every single post, its annoying. so you had bad aftersales from one SA brand, big deal, name a brand that nobody has had bad service from. Build a bridge already
  23. This is one of those un-quantifiable benefits of commuting by bike, especially after a stressful day at the office.
