  1. Having an issue or two with my replacement Kickr Core, wondering if anyone has experienced the same: I noticed my avatar on Zwift would keep pedaling when I was freewheeling. The reported cadence would shoot up to 135rpm odd for a few seconds and then drop to zero. I recalibrated the unit and cadence seems to be fine now. When I stop pedaling, the avatar reacts quickly and no spikes in cadence are shown. A couple of days later I had another strange issue. I did a workout and wanted to do the last two climbs on the Richmond UCI course I was riding. First climb went fine and I put in a nice bit of power to the top. I was planning to spin along until the next climb down the steep hill. Hit it at ~130 watts and 85 rpm. From past experience I should have been cruising down at around 50km/h, but my reported speed was far lower at 29km/h. I stopped the ride, quit Zwift and recalibrated the unit again. I didn't want to go back in an ride anymore, so I assume all is good now. I'll see how it does during today's Zwift session, but hoping I don't have a unit that is on its way out Edit: seems that after the workout Zwift reverts to the starting interval and limits the power and speed to that. Seems likely it is a bug. Will post on the support forums and see if anyone else has the issue Edit 2: feedback from the Zwift forum indicates it is probably the U-Turn bug. At least my Kickr seems to be in working order
  2. First visit to Suikerbosrand. Enjoyed it thoroughly, despite all the wind!
  3. can be had for less second hand. Besides, budgets are for blowing to smithereens ????????????
  4. Epic Evo would be worth a look as well. Trek looks to have great geo, but that Rockshox 35 puts me off with that piss poor excuse for a damper. I have the new Spark, fast as heck up or down, but at 50k, the spec is not that great and availability is non-existant. A second hand or new old stock previous gen Spark would be worth a shout as well. Very capable and well sorted bikes. A Giant Trance 29 is also worth a look as some clean second hand ones crop up every now and again

I'm out at 8;25. Assuming the load time of 8:05 is when they will put us in the start area? Friend of mine is starting 15 minutes earlier. Gives me something to chase. @Chadvdw67 I am coming for you ????
  6. Ridgeway Cycles or Trailwolf. Both have good staff who will take care of you
  7. Used the Motorex hydraulic oil and Motorex 2.5wt fork oil without issues in the past. Your local KTM dealer should have both RACING FORK OIL 2,5W - MOTO LINE | MOTOREX HYDRAULIC FLUID 75 - MOTO LINE | MOTOREX
  8. Pretty sure you've missed something which is putting a spanner in the works. Guides bleed super easy with the correct bleed kit and if you follow the SRAM instructions fully. I found the Guides I had on my Trance 29 easy to look after with plenty of power and modulation even compared to the new XT four pots I have on my Spark
  9. I just went to the extreme example with a DH bike. I'm always blown away by how the local scene seems to vilify suspension movement whilst pedaling. It seems to me that the thinking hasn't moved on from the 90's when dual sus emerged and it was thought they would never be efficient enough for XC racing with pedal bob being pointed to as a major thief of watts.
  10. Chain forces, braking forces, weight transfer, terrain to name a few. If suspension only moved cause of rider power output then explain DH bikes
  11. Tar road climbing for sure. Locked out is much more comfy!
  12. Not as evil as the industry would like us to believe! IMO lockouts are more useful for the rear to get it to sit up thereby minimising pedal strikes and steepening the seat tube angle for a slightly better seated climbing position.
  13. Doesn’t @Sid the Sloth have a wanted ad for a 3C in medium?
  14. GCN have a nice video up about how 3C make their bikes. Very interesting process compared to the usual carbon layup technique. Nice bike BTW! You seem to have an excess of them!
  15. Can't wait to see the Donut 2 videos on Pinkbike. Especially if they can get Barelli to ride it again.
  16. That was an awesome read. Well done on your achievement!
  17. Those Scor bikes are HOT!
  18. That bolt in the third pic does not look correct at all. Agree with Theo, get it to a Trek dealer. They'll be able to see what is needed from their parts catalogue

  21. Done the whole trail on my Giant Revolt with 35c Panaracer Gravelkings
  22. RIP and condolences to the family and friends.
  23. My replacement unit looked to be a brand new one less all the power cables, through axles etc. YMMV
  24. Please route that front brake line inside the fork leg
