  7. So, slow down when you come to it. I've done loads of runs down that trail and never clipped it
  8. That is *** news. It was a nice little single trail. Honestly, why not just grade and tar the whole loop then?
  9. Looking forward to this!
  10. Would love to tag along on a gravel cruise in the South sometime
  11. Running a DT 350 with a 54 tooth ratchet on the rear for more buzzzzzzzzzzzz. Marc has always been super helpful me out when I've needed anything DT related, most recently a set of torque caps last month. However, the tool thing I disagree with completely. This close minded approach to having people not service and maintain their own gear is an antiquated and narrow minded approach to business. This is why the right to repair campaigns are starting up globally for all industries. The type of people who will want the specialized tools are the type who have good technical knowledge and have solid technical experience. There is nothing to be gained from trying to keep people from working on their own stuff.
  12. If you'd ridden both, you'd understand how far from the truth that statement is
  13. Rode there last week. Trails are looking ????????

    Pyga Hyrax

Piet arrived at Thaba with a bit too much coffee in his belly and for his first ride on his rebuilt GG. The rocks were cruel to him and about halfway up the Yeeha trail he tasted all the coffee again. After that his pedal started falling out of the crank and he had to bail

  22. Decided to ride from home to Modderfontein Reserve today. Stopped off at Soul Souvlaki in Dowerglen for a quick recharge
  23. All parts and graphics sourced from Trailwolf cycles in PTA. Speak with Ruan, he will hook you up. So, I did the fitment yesterday, which was combined with a lower leg service and new foam rings. I went from 89PSI for 25% sag to 83.5PSi for 20% sag for my 76kg kitted weight. This is on a 130mm Pike Ultimate. Overall the bike felt a bit firmer, but in a good way. I went for a ride this morning on a koppie local to me. It has a steep climb and descent, which is pretty rocky and takes about 2 minutes to descend on if you are going for it. The flatter part is pretty rough as well with lots of rocks and knots of grass. My original settings were: Rebound - 10 open from full closed HSC - 4 open from full closed LSC - 12 open from full closed 2 bottomless tokens Around half way into the ride it felt a bit harsh on the flat stuff, so I opened up LSC 2 clicks and closed HSC 1 click. This instantly smoothed out the buzz from the trail that was coming back through the bars. I hit the downhill and I had plenty of grip and loads of plush support. I knocked 15 seconds off my best time on a 2 minute descent, so I'd say I was confident and comfortable. I still have 2cm of unused travel, so I'll be taking out one spacer. based on this, I'd say buy the spring, fit it and be happy. Final settings 83.5PSI Rebound - 10 open from full closed HSC - 3 open from full closed LSC - 14 open from full closed 2 bottomless tokens Message me if you want anymore feedback
  24. Upgraded the Pike with the new spec Debonair spring and some silver graphics
