It's a difficult time for buyers that like a longer buying process. The guys that go through the motions, asking all the right questions, then viewing and then thinking about it properly before making a decision. For everyone one of those there are 3 guys keen to jump in their car now, pay full asking and ride off with their purchase right there 'n then. I often get buyers asking for the bike to get couriered to them within minutes of posting and ad. Unfortunately this means that the more cautious or uncertain buyers often miss out on a good deal

Hi Nico, from my experience the bikehub rating has been very effective to identify sellers with poor business ethics. Where I lost all sympathy is where you refer to resellers as leaches...

I love my gravel bike, but when I know that I'll be facing technical sections or long stretches of heavy corrugated roads then I take my dual sus. Currently I'm building up a monster cross bike, basically a carbon hardtail with a rigid fork, gravel handlebars and MTB wheels. Will let you know how she goes.

Busy getting the parts together for my own MonsterCross. Managed to to find a StumpJumper 29er frame with Roval Disc Road wheels. Will fit SRAM Force 1x11 Hydraulic Levers with an XO1 11 Speed rear derailleur. I just need a crank. Frame going in for a fresh coat of paint next week.

Here is some insight from a used bike dealer's perspective as to why prices are higher 1) Massive increase in demand 2) Massive shortage in supply 3) The market is strong, so trade in prices are higher as bikes are holding their value. So we paying more than usual and therefore have to sell for higher than usual 4) Massive increase in new bike prices. The trade value is linked to the retail value and increases according. Great news for guys who bought new bikes, your bikes will hold a lot more value than previous years Great news for guys who bought used bikes, as you might be able to sell your bike for more or less the same than what you paid for it a year ago. Cycling is definitely not dying, there has been a massive boom of new cyclists since lockdown and its not yet slowing down

Just 80km to go for me. I have been unsuccessful in this challenge twice before, mainly due to rain and family commitments. This year has been much easier after a 130km ride on the 24th and the perfect weather conditions to date. I have even had time to take my boy out on the trails today and Sunday for a 20km dad and lad pedal

Zwift won't appeal to everyone and very few will use all the functionality. As for me, I love zwift. I love the group rides, meetups and the racing. I also enjoy having all my training peaks workouts synced and ready to load.

I've also entered and this will be my 1st triathlon. Never done any open water swimming and I've never run further than 10km I joined a triathlon team with a coach and a training program. Getting the swim fitness going has so far been my biggest challenge

The ID copy he sent me was for Isaac Thapelo Tigelo and the proof of payment was from Nedbank and the account holder was St Albans Church.
