  1. What about Hub hookups?? I know there have been a few. I met Amateur through the hub at the 2007 pre-Argus breakfast ride. Now 7 years later we are happily married .
  2. Sorry to hear this really sad news Anton, my condolences to you and your family. May he rest in peace.
  3. Im shocked!! RIP Burry
  4. PRS 20 or 21. Ive been using one for about 4 years now, and its excellent. You can work on the front or the rear of the bike, its height adjustable, turns 360 deg, very stable and and its easy to take with you if you are doing mult day races. What more could you ask for? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Images/Models/Full/7859.jpg

    EasyGIS

Been using Easy GIS for my last few GPS purchases, and I even got a great deal on 10 Nuvi units I purchased for work through Matthew. All I can say is they are an absolute pleasure to deal with, and the service is first class. I would reccomend them to anyone who is looking for a good deal on GPS units, as well as RAM mounts etc.
  6. Thats awesome news, well done to Ernst -
  7. Go for the Norbar wrench, its higher quality than either the BB or the PRO, and more accurate. http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/manufacturer/norbar/norbar_4_20.html?action=currency&id=ZAR
  8. Who remembers these? Zoom Brahma bars. They were seriously cool back in the early 90's! . Im pretty sure ive still got a pair lying around in a box somewhere....
  9. My mostly black bikes...

  11. Are these Gobi's all the XM version? Ive been riding my old style Gobi for more than 4 years on my hardtail MTB, and on a tandem, and it is still 100%
  12. This is very sad news! RIP Carla
  13. The RXS pedals? Try an 8mm allen key from the back of the axle, where it screws into the crank...
  14. I saw some of the Axis TT frames on retrobike (http://www.retrobike...pic.php?t=91670) are using red Salsa clamps? So im sure it must be one of the following - 30.0, 30.6 (http://salsacycles.com/components/flip-lock/)?
  15. Sorry only saw now that you are looking for 27.0, and not 27.2 What frame is it for?
  16. Maybe this will help?
  17. This is the best stand I have ever used... http://www.parktool.com/uploads/thumbnails/uploads/products/b600d71dfb3ad18e77fe37da55eef8b107cc4c0e_800x700.jpg Park Tool PRS - 20 (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7859) Got mine locally for around R1500 two years ago. But Speak to Johan Bornman, he makes and sells a very similar stand at a very reasonable price.
  18. Hey guys, I’m going to be in Upington over the weekend of 11/12 December, with nothing to do as I will be there for work. So I was thinking about taking one of my bikes along (road or MTB), and going for some rides over the weekend. Are there any hubbers around those parts that could show me around, or ride with me? Any bike clubs / shops that do morning rides? Any info would be much appreciated, Thanks!
  19. I remember that ride, was good fun and we had a nice turnout. It was Wonder Woman who won the won the car for the weekend wasnt it? Ill be there, depending on the date of course.
  20. Mine is virtually 1:1 working on new replacement values for both vehicles and bicycles.
  21. Here is one I put together a few years ago. I took all the components I had and listed them, and then combined it with everything I could find on the net. The red text just indicates components that are fitted to my bikes for easy reference. JW Torque .pdf
  22. In general if there are no recommended torque amounts on the components you can usually get away with the 4-5-6 rule.... Working from the front of the bike to the back - 4nm for the stem / handlebar bolts 5nm for the stem / steerer bolts 6nm for the seatpost clamp
  23. Does anyone have any idea if this race is happening this year? I cant find any details on the website or the ROAG site for a 2010 event?
