  1. Here they are, not the first result, but the range was there in the first few.... (and they look far better than that ugly back Zaskar that was number 1!!) Zaskar2007-11-09 03:40:00
  2. No prixes for guessing what mine throws up... (but the caption for the pic is rather interesting!) Once you go black, you never go back ...
  3. Yes thanks Mr. Look, I also got my catalogue yesterday! Very very nice frames in there!
  4. Is this the one you have? With the mini lever? I have one that i used for about a year on a bike, and it never gave a days trouble. i never had to bleed it, or do anything other than change the pads. But i think you are right, there is no screw or anything for adjustment (except for reach), the only way i ever was able to change the amount of lever movment before it bit was to add more fluid. I cant really help you more than that, but maybe take it in to one of the Hope dealers to get some advice? Or just email them directly, i seem to remember they replied to me once the same day on a query i had! Im sure they will help you out. But if you still dont come right, ive got mine lying in a box at home, and you are welcome to make me an offer on it. Its a no 8 Caliper (205mm rotor) and i have 2 brand new sets of pads, and 2 rotors for it. Its in the box and ready to go.

  9. Nice on there of epoh and Sam (Afgri) hurting the leaders of A bunch on the climb!
  10. What about converting an existing road bike to SS? would that be possible with the same tensioner as the MTB's use?
  11. Thats pretty cool! Any other brands that have models like this out?
  12. Silly question here, (my brain might be a bit tired from work and im not thinking straight) but do they make single speed road bikes? or is a track bike your closest option?
  13. Do your self a favour and get a copy of "The Barnett's Manual of Bicycle Repair". Its like 680 pages covering everything to do with bike repair. I think updates are avaialble every few months coveing the latest components all broken down to show how to repair them your self.
  14. Ive done four 220km + rides in the last 3 years all on my Fizik Arione, and have i never had any pain or discomfort on that saddle! And on my MTB ive got the Gobi, also by Fizik, and its also super comfy!
  15. Yeah thanks Swiss, those pictures are STUNNING!! Im using the one with the Alps as my background already!!
  16. Unless you have oversize carbon tubing in your frame, which cannot be clamped! Then you need a Thule Ride-On or similar carrier, where the bike sits on the rack, in stead of hanging.
  17. Illovo JHB? Thats where i work, and cycle from in the mornings. Im sure we will be riding through December. Go check www.cyclesafe.co.za and check out the start times and routes. You are more than welcome to join us if you want.
  18. Go buy a pair of Sidi's! My old MTB pair have been used since 1998, and nothing (no stiching, buckles or anything else) has ever given me a single problem!!
  19. Might be able to help you out. Im also in A group so same start time. Ill chat with Amateur later and let you know. We stay in Bromhof so its not too far out of our way.
  20. Does it happen when you stand? Could be your saddle and seatpost??
  21. Its a long way from Edenvale, but if the service is that good, it might just be worth it. Its the other side of PTA, take the Zambezi off ramp i think, and turn right. The shop is in a new centre a few km down the road on the left!
  22. geez, tell me about it!! that 5am start really makes a difference! i was sitting down at my desk at 6:30 already!
  23. Yip, that was us, (epoh and myself). We cycled back through the suburbs to toll gate bridge to meet Amateur and my little brother to ride with them to the finish. We wernt counting on working against such a head wind, but im glad we could help you and a few other riders along that last 8km stretch!
  24. Yeah, was chatting to Jules this morning, and he told me the goodie bags weighed 8kg each!!!
