  1. Get a Tyre made for the trainer. Continental have a Yellow one.
  2. 80% of my training is in the spinning class and the rest on the road it is boring doing more than 3hours in the class. I am optimistic to say that you can go to a 10 seeding index by spinning lower than that you need to get more on the road. Do spinning classes back to back. If your HR% does not get to 90% you need to increase the resistance while maintaining a 80rpm cadence.
  3. So this is a carbon frame i assume. What wheels are included Shimano?
  4. Blikskim wolfie dit is impressive! What did you change?
  5. Nice frame, julle met julle smart paint jobs maak my regtig jaloers!
  6. Fietsry is mos nie werk nie
  7. Dit is so unfair ek het getrain vir die een, en nou gaan ek VSA to vir 3 weke. Julle beter fots neem en als vertel.
  8. I'm just thankful that my subscription is canceled. Are they already running the get lean articles, they usually run them after winter. get a 6 pack in 40 days, low carbs for cyclists, beat the winter cold, best lights for under R10 000.00. bla bla bla bla.
  9. And you pay R500 pm for DSTV Why??
  10. I always wondered if you strap a parachute to your back on a flat road if it will help with power training. You can also fill your tires with water to add mass, it will make you strong for the acceleration efforts. A spinning bike is probably your best option, set the resistance high and maintain a cadence of 70rpm
  11. where is his Helmet?
  12. I agree with you, if you are trying to beat your own time it is not nice to see that you lost some time just going over the start line. Next time be early get in front and moan at the guys in blue and white that push there way to the front.
  13. Championchip record both your start time aswell as th group start time. Your seeding and position is calculated on the group start time. The reason is that if they use your individual start time and you start at the back and the winner of the group started in front you can have a better time if you finish just behind him. does this make sense? On the 94.7 or any other race they do check in what group you start and use the start time of that group. Gman18342009-05-04 04:05:15
  14. Your time start when the first guy of the group go over the line not when you go over the line, but 2min is a long time to cross the line. Well at the argus it took more then 2min to go over the line.
  15. My race dont know if they are coming or going, they are quick to say that the clubs are at fault but after almost 6 months i get a mail from therm. My apologies for your hassles. We have arranged a replacement card to be sent to you. It should be at your club by now. Please confirm if not there. Kind regards Justin MyRace Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: Department: myrace Priority: Emergency Status: Closed
  16. Can you please update the list of licenses that has been posted to the clubs. After moaning to CSA they posted some laminated card to me but the official plastic one is still outstanding.
  17. Lyk a 'n nice bike.Geniet hom!!!
  18. I registered my wife with ROAG all she needed to pay was her license fee, she don't want to train with a club she want to do the short races and not pay R30 for every race. I must say their service was outstanding, they even send her license by Courier. They had me thinking what do I get form my club what do I pay for? a club ride were they try to break the bunch as fast as possable or a place were my license can be send to?
  19. It is not that difficult to build one, take a look at the ride on bike racks and copy/improve your own design. Palisade angle iron work great for the rack, large enough for MTB and road.
  20. Something like this would work.
  21. sorry Fire but Wolfie is the man, always smiling (except on the uphills) and willing to go the extra mile.
  22. Im not skinny, so i have to watch what i eat. Starch is out and I mean no bread chips, pasta or anything like that. Basically Low GI food. Lots of veg and fresh fruit. I do a lot of strength work in the gym. A good read is "burn the fat feed the muscle" by Tom Venuto and for training "Training bible for cyclists" Joe Friel For the not so serious/beginners riders "training bible for Mountain bikers"
