  1. So, you're going to ride erm, slowly?

    Prestige Ulltra

The river looked ok, if a little, erm brown. When I left they were shortening the swim course (to 1500m) for safety reasons. I'm really sorry we didn't get to race but in effect it was going to be a wet 1/2 marathon.
  3. I had a small problem with my 405CX. Took it back to Garmin and they replaced it with a 310XT in time for the BSG Triathlon tommorrow. What great service from Dalton and the Garmin team. Thanks guys you have a Garmin fan for life.
  4. Does anyone have any idea of the water temperature? Will it be a wetsuit swim?
  5. VC @ 5h50. We're going to a wedding on Saturday in Dullstroom, so don't think I am going to make it.
  6. Sorry, spelling mistake (typo) fixed. Who said anything about ciggies? I was complaing about the LGBT community. B)
  7. This morning I woke up, had some coffee with my wife and sent her on her way to ride with our local club. I had another cup of coffee, pulled on my running kit and went off on my run. The first few km were pleasant with all the cyclist and runners greeting and near perfect weather. As I reached Zoo Lake I was appalled by the mess from the Gay Pride day yesterday. Broken bottles and litter covered this beautfiul area. To all the people that attended the March yesterday, you are disgusting a**holes. As I reached the top of Hill road at the robots crossing Judith, there were a group of cyclists (some in Club100 kit) weaving (on both sides if the road) whilst waiting for their mates to cross Judith, whilst a car behind them had to wait for them to get out of the way. Guys, you are just a**holes. On my way back as I was running past the BP up towards Hillcrest (near the back of Melville Koppies) the was a guy in a white top on a white Giant MTB that (tried to) accelerate through a clearly red robot and if the white 4x4 hadn't seen you and slowed down you would have been a stupid, dead a**hole. Right now in my books, you are just a stupid a**hole. It's wonderful to be out there with all the people enjoying the outdoors, so to all the people who greeted and smiled, thank you, and to those mentioned above, did I forget to mention, you're a**holes.
  8. Don't fall off in the first 10km and break your collarbone like I did last year.
  9. Yep, but she only get's the medal for 2nd best wife. Mine bought me a Giant Anthem Advanced after I just finished Epic and now she just shelled out for a P3C so I can do IM.
  10. BTW: Where you been hiding? I'm about to resign from Cresta and join another club.
  11. Northcliff is too steep (for me). Either Hillsnacks or Allens nek.
  12. I know this isn't funny, but at least she won't go hungry!
  13. The Kyalami Hill is too short. I do two type of hills. A 3 minute hill: climb it six to ten times with 3 minutes rest inbetween, (85-90% HrMax) A 10 minute hill: climb it three to 4 times with 5 minutes rest inbetween, (75-85% HrMax)
  14. Has anyone ever thought about social responsibility? WW, you have really nice wheels, but you've obtained them illegally. This is the real problem with our beautiful country, nobody obeys the the law and this leads to two wrongs do make a right.
  15. [quote=techguy ...keeping in mind that a cnc machine would set you back at least 250k locally. The CNC machine to machine a rear sproket from a solid billet would cost more the R2mil.
  16. Bought a carbon bike from Bat-ass. He's a real stand up guy.
  17. I suggest the Mods close this thread down as nothing constructive is being contributed by either party.

I'm carrying a niggling knee injury, so I'm going to give this weekend a miss. Enjoy.

[/quote'] Ride will be 60km with 900-1000m climbing. Takes 3hours + 10min for a coke at the Shebeen. From the Sasol garage head towards the Cradle. At the T-Junction turn right. Head up the hill and down Hekpoort. At next T-Junction turn left. We'll meet you at the Garage 500m along the road on the right. PM me your mobile number and I'll let you know what time we'll be there.
