The only place I could get a strap the other day in Slaapstad was at Cycle Lab, think I paid R170 for it. My straps also last about a year and I have also been experiencing problems with the hr sensor. Bought a(sealed)battery at the chemist and still the unit would not pick up the signal if the sensor was further than 30cm away from the unit. Bought a new strap and still had the problem. Ended up sending everything to the agents and they just replaced the battery and it is now fine. So the only conclusion that I can make is that the battery I bought at the chemist was "below power", if that makes any sence. Anyone experience this as well.

What is it with these polar products lately. I had a heart sensor replaced by the agents close to a year ago and now the same problem with the new sensor- it doesn't pick up if the sensor is further than 30cm away from the unit. So sent the sensor in after buying a new battery and strap and it would appear as if they replaced it again- have to go and pick it up this afternoon. BTW the turn around time of IHF is now 8 days Would appear as if alot of polar products have problems

Those Novatec hubs are bomb proof and they run so smooth I still have a set on my sons bike and think in the 10 years that I've had them, had the bearings replaced once and I am a "dikgat"
