  1. I enjoyed the CTM trail - great route. It was more technical than I expected - but I like technical. The scenery was nice too, except I had to concentrate on the path!
  2. ???? Is that you, pot? I think this thread is intended for kettles ????
  3. Thats the one. I dont have money for a build project atm, but it followed me home, and I have an incomplete Record 10x gruppo on the shelf.
  4. Teaser: I could not let this one go. It has been a long time without a Colnago!
  5. Some forums are blaming a DD rider (EBH?) for switching and causing the crash. ????
  6. ^ I like the blue Master, and is that a BiTitan in the background? The carbon frames in front were not their best of the era imo, I prefer the c50..
  7. Saffas have won stages, TDD have won quite a bit of them, they have signed great up and coming young riders. I dont think us fans expect too much of them, but from the outside it looks as if something bad has happened in their structures that hinders performance. Surely it can be fixed? That is what I hope for - just for them to contest some results once more.
  8. What news about signing new riders in transfer season? I have not seen a single bit of news in this regard.
  9. Enoch Nkwe appointed as interim team director. ???? Could be a poisoned chalice imo - he is in for a rough start, touring India without senior players. The last time we played a test series in India, we got thrashed.
  10. Like white walls on a new Ferarri... ????
  11. Otis steered us to our worst WC tournament, ever. Imo there must be better options. It sounds like all or most of the assistant coaches are out, too. I dont know if the new structure they are implementing is the right way to go.
  12. A bit better ????
  13. Imo the Borats (pun) with the G3 on the front as well look less sleek than before. It also looks like there are more spokes in total on both wheels. Those Sram brifters are just gross ???? ...And would be on any bike, I must add. They look like they were inspired by Hector Hammond's forehead.
  14. The second factor imo is that the brains trust seemingly did not consider that we had a high probability of losing 2 of the first 3 games (India and England). Those losses seemed to have shaken the squad more than it should have. Thirdly, Bangladesh played inconveniently well - on the field it looked like it was approached like a low risk game. ????
  15. I agree. The problem with this squad is that they took the risk on form and injury on a couple too many players: Amla, Duminy, Steyn, Ngidi.
  16. ????Rear caliper cable routing could get interesting with the dropped stays. S-bending Nokon housing, perhaps?
  17. ^ I dont know, perhaps we could learn from their success. (But I thought that is how t20 came to be). Also, the BBL also has problems filling the stands - they wanted to hire ABD to fix that.
  18. Imo due in large to the internet - people can watch dstv on their phones. , vs the discomfort of travel and risk of disruption of the game due to the elements. Smaller crowd means less atmosphere etc etc. Also partly due to the volume of quality sport available to watch - an event needs to be super entertaining to draw full stands.BBL, super rugby also not filling the stands.
  19. Dont agree, he had a good WC. He averaged in the 90s, hit 166 of 62 vs WI. That said, I also agree with the call not to take him.
  20. Imo the quotas had no role to play in their WC performance. Age may be an issue: Amla had fast eyes and wrists, which made his unorthodox technique work. Perhaps both eyesight and wrist speed have slowed a bit with age, say by 5%, which now exposes the technique. Taking him and Steyn based on their reputations was a risk. Tahir is old, but was also the leading wicket taker in the IPL, no age problem there. Miller, QdK, Rassie, Markram, Rabada are not old (Quotas are killing SA sport at a provincial level imo, but that is a debate for another day)
  21. It was always going to be a tough start to the tournament to play England and India in the first 3 games. The brains trust plan would have considered losing these two games, considering that the side is not at peak strength. Losing agains Bangladesh was suicidal. That said, we played a good game against India, but were 30 runs short of a par score. The key difference yesterday was how we batted against their spinners vs how they played ours. Our top order looks frail, Amla have not played crickket at all leading into the tournament, and has been off his best for 2 years, Markram & Vd Dussen are inexperienced, Miller is not in form, and the pressure seems to be getting to Faf. The batsmen need to shape up, but are now under even more pressure. That said, bowling was poor against Bangladesh, if the fight has left the bowling unit too, we are going to lose a few more.
  22. Loskop and Om die Dam marathons are early in the year, perhaps consider those if you dont mtb? SabieX in March, Magalies Monster is this weekend (dont know if they do line entries)
  23. Re the Christallo: I wonder how they do the graphics. They have done a few like that, LDV and Jet for example. My guess is a decal or sticker of sorts under the final clear paint layer. Local painters cant do the same, Ive asked most of them.
  24. ???? Will think about it. I dont have protective gear, either. I feel kind of exposed when my ride buddies kit up and snap chin bars in place at the top of Helderberg.
