  1. What's a large phone?I haven't got that exact pair but I have tried them on and they have a winner fit. The Fox shorts I have fit my Note 4 when I had it just fine. Zips on pockets is nice peace of mind but through all the years of riding I've never lost keys or a phone out of a pocket without zips.
  2. Those are rad and R800 on sale is a bargain. I'd hate to know what bike gear is going to cost once the R17/$ stock starts hitting shelves.. eek
  3. For R200?!! Please do tell us where because that sounds like the price you paid for the last pair 10yrs ago
  4. Titan I think it is seems to be making some nice looking kit at very good prices, saw quite a big range at Olympic cycles including Enduro type stuff.
  5. That's actually not true, I commented a few times on low priced ads that the seller was giving it away and saw similar comments quite regularly. Actually a few times the seller pulled the ad, admitted they priced it way too low and put it back up at a more reasonable price, as long as they weren't playing buyers off each other to push the price up I don't see anything wrong with that. Price calling out definitely went both ways in the comments.
  6. Main drawback for me with impact drivers is the noise, they are noisy af. Despite their many advantages especially for stubborn fasteners I've stayed away from them for that reason.
  7. Why would those be mothballed and in the middle of nowhere?
  8. They have had a lot of issues since the 5th of July with Covid19 infections shutting down their distribution hub in JHB, they have a huge backlog. I have used them quite extensively in the past without issue but I also have a parcel stuck with them since being sent on the 4th of July, no movement since the 5th..
  9. This service is a perfect way to accumulate unwanted and unneeded crap, also there's only so many stomach churning new energy bar/goo/drink products you can try till you realise only the "####" bars work with your constitution and everything else has to get given away or trashed. Wait maybe they'll include an Sram XX 12sp chain in each box [emoji2955][emoji7]
  10. Festool is next level expensive, they have some innovative products/systems but the actual quality of their tools is no better than say Makita. They are renowned for their random orbital sanders, very good vacuum systems but you probably need the insanely pricey Festool vacuum system for it to work as specified.
  11. Does anyone have an old square taper BSA 68mm BB that's still reasonably smooth?
  12. If anyone has an old square taper BSA 68mm BB thats still smooth I'd appreciate it.
  13. "The components have less than 400kms on them so they are still brand new,"That's an epic new definition of brand new - only seen 400km of use. R20k for a 2012 26er, the guy missed that train by a good 8yrs..
  14. Self entitled dks like that with zero accountability and huge resources typically do not take their own lives, that coupled with how many high profile people were implicated with him I'm pretty sure someone "hit" him. Was the Netflix thing on him any good, missed the earlier mention of it?
  15. That "mobile" hijacking and mugging scenario is one I dread seeing entrenched, I've seen more and more reports of it happening. It means you can be in a "safe" area and/or fully aware and cautious of what's going on around you and there's zero you can do to avoid a car stopping out of the blue and muggers hopping out and pillaging you. I saw a video of it happening to a lady on foot, it happens so quickly there is absolutely nothing you can do other than not be on the road, ie you are a sitting duck no matter what precautions you take.
  16. 4th incident in a week, must surely be a group/gang working the area. I always wonder why the police don't have a tactical unit for these situations, once enough reports come in they know the guys are there, set a trap and catch them. These incidents have such a negative impact on the profile of Cape Town you'd think the city would gladly have a dedicated unit to come down hard whenever these things crop up.
  17. Lightroom and many other Adobe programs are optimised for clock speed and not multi-core, get the highest CPU speed possible, 32gb of Ram and min 512gb ssd
  18. How much where those new if 2hnd is R130k?
  19. From seeing the pics and how extensive it is that's definitely some kind of manufacturing defect, maybe an issue with the tempering of the steel, perhaps too hard and therefore not able to flex and then fatigue cracks develop.
  20. Can you post some pics of the damage? That would probably help, maybe there is something else at play that the bikehub sleuths can spot. Edit : posted pics
  21. Or order online, bike shops can sell anything and everything online.
  22. What are the regulations currently regarding private charters, are they allowed to fly in SA?
  23. If that is the case how does that price compare to price of equivalent frames from Spez/Canondale etc?
  24. This is going to be one insanely well designed and built bike. "We're so confident in Blackstone Tek’s method and precision of manufacturing that we will be offering a lifetime warranty on frame and bearings. The MoBu will be available shortly after manufacturing can resume following relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown" Blackstone Tek is one of the worlds highest tier extreme performance carbon production houses, not fking around. Well done Patrick Morewood, you are the man!
  25. Comments on ads have saved many from heartache on the forums I have been on. Some people are supreme chance takers and many buyers are absolutely clueless, it's not a healthy recipe. Gumtree or other commercial platforms probably don't need comment's on ads but on a forum I consider it vital and it's a healthy part of how the community looks out for each other.
