    94.7 Expo

Some of you are going to be seriously disappointed. No Bar-One girls and for the rest - really disappointed. You should be able to see some new innovations and technology at these expos but it's a real Chinese Bazaar.
  4. Is there anybody out there that still use 35 mm film camneras. I am sitting with 3 of them in a cubboard and think some one can maybe use them Minolta with 2 lenses Ricoh with 2 lenses Nikon PM me if you need more detail
  5. I suggest that you arrange a early departure group and a late departure group from the halfway stop. Last month the time stopped was way too long so small groups started leaving on their own - that's why its falling apart.
  6. I can echo that he is excellent. For Pilatus in your area (Randburg, Weltevreden / Westrand) contact Marilu Gow on 0727709346
  7. Not on the baaik yet will only do just before the next CM
  8. Ok I found it. Ordered my strip lights from Clear Sky LED online on Tuesday, they delivered on Wednesday R199 for 5m. Got a 12v motor cycle battery for R80 and tested last night - after 5 hours still as bright as daylight. Contact details - Clear Sky - www.clearskyleds.co.za - their service is excellent.
  9. Some bicycles were covered with these LED Strip lights. Help me - where can I find them and more important what battery do you use to run them and where can I get the battery. Was an awesome ride
  10. Collected my Powercal late yesterday afternoon. Link / paired it with my Garmin 800 last night - was a piece of cake. Will ride this afternoon with Powertap or Tacx trainer (wheather) and compare. Will let you know
  11. Does not sound right. I think the spacer he's referring to is on the freehub fitting . If your Shimano wheels are fitted with a 9 speed freehub then you need the spacer on the free wheel before you fit the 10spd casette onto the wheel. If it is a 10spd specific freehub you don't need the spacer.
  12. Which LBS in Jhb or private individual is the best when it come to fixing of broken spokes and tru-ing wheels. I have now broken 4 spokes over a short period on my Easton wheels. I am now of the opinion that with every fix the tension on spokes are not even and therefor cause another spoke to break.
  13. We did the Breedts Nek ride. I moved it as it just felt too low. I am sure I just moved it too much and that also caused the saddle to move slightly backwards due to the slope. On checking the setup last night it was about 1 cm too high but about 4 cm too far backwards so my angle to the peddlas was way out. Thanks for the response I will try it again this weekend.
  14. I made an adjustment to my saddle hight on my moantain bike during our Sunday ride. Moved the saddle app 1cm upwards. After about 30 km's i developed a pain (not cramp) in my my butt and upper leg muscles at the back of my leg. This is not the kind of pain caused by a saddle but real muscle pain - so bad I had to struggle back to our car and can barely walk. Can the reason be the saddle adjustment
  15. Go check this out - a understandable explanation of the whole process. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/backoffice/_upload_us/bikes/models/manual/08SuspensionQSGuide20070609.pdf
  16. Battling with the same issues as well as getting the "SAG" setting correct. Have just downloaded some tips and How to's from www.foxracingshox.com/fox_tech_center/owners_manuals. Bikeradar's website also have some details on how to do a proper set-up.
  17. "Hijack" - How do you transfer from PVR to DVD. Do you need special software. "Hijack off"
  18. Mootoo - I don't know where you're from but this was certainly not all over the wireless and TV in the Gauteng region or in the areas that was effected by the race. Stop defending an absolute shocking disaster.
  19. Talk to the guys from SRAM - their service are excellent. See my PM with phone details og JHB agent.
  20. Thanks for all the info Guys. Trapper what did they do to fix the movement on the rivets. I have been informed by Northcliff Cycles (Thanks Alex) that the casing of the rear disk brake where it bolt onto the bike has been cracked. It seems that the alignment bolt was tightened to such an extend that it cracked the housing. Hope this will now resolve the issue. In future my 1st question to any LBS will be if they are using Torque wrenches to tighten bolts on bicycles and to see the paper with the recomended torque levels.
  21. My rear disc brake sytem (Magura) is extremely noisy when I brake and creates a vibration through the whole bicycle. Any advice on how to stop this.
  22. Clean Green & Mr Min. DON'T ever use Mr Muscle - It will stain every aluminium piece on your bike.
  23. They were on the section from the Kloofzicht circle down the hill and on the Sterkfontein stretch - In both instances mainly in the yellow line section but difficult to say as you only realise a few hundred meters furtheraway that you're wheel are making funny noises or has gone flat
  24. Our group was on the Cradle route quite early on saturday morning and between the eight of us we had seven punctures all caused by drawing pins. At the end of our rather short ride two more pins were taken out of wheels. I will be in touch with Joaquin at Valverde.
  25. What is the riding conditions like in the Spruit nowadays as far as safety and the tracks is concerned. We go over Emarentia dam on the road bikes quite often and it seems as if there is a lot less mountain bikers starting from there
