  7. Iam also from the surronding area, I ride with various groups from the area mainly family and friends with most of them being on the hub.
  8. Wtf, this is seriously getting out of hand..!!
  9. Thankx revolutionary point noted.. My cousin had his anthem frame replaced recently it cracked on the same place, dragons advised him that it was only a particular batch that was problematic, however it does seem like the problem its across board.
  10. IMHO yes, Common problem on Giants just do a google search.
  11. Awesome stuff:) Did they catch the guy or guys..?
  12. Since the topic has been derailed I would just like to add my 5c, Upon meeting a random cyclist on kromboom road a while back it had come to my attention that this person had a previous encounter with Team CTG, this based purely on his reaction to the two club riders who passed us at the robots. I am familiar with a few CTG riders since most of them are from my surrounding area they friendly and well respected businessmen having dealt with a few over the years and in general a decent bunch of guys. HOWEVER it has come to my attention that some members (who are on this forum) are no longer with the club for whatever reason, it seems like something has changed if this is the type of behaviour portrayed because this is not what the club stood for please note i am in no way affiliated to the club @all. IMO we as the hub community need to play our part and try to make cycling a safer and better sport, but by posting our emotions and past experience does not help the future of the sport nor the club or it riders. After all we human and we programmed to make mistakes, were we wrong we need to own up,the general feeling certainly does not seem like a once off occurrence nevertheless judging by the comments why has nobody offered to help or guide them..? Instead we rant and banter while others try to push them even further down, the problem is there, its real and it does not only exists amongst one but many other groups as well, reality is that the club is not going anywhere, after all we would need to deal with these guys at majority of the races so why not help one another to improve! that way we can maximise the use of an already small piece of tar road that we got to play with. Maq
  13. Is anyone using "Sponser"..?

  15. @lance9033, I do laps on that road every alternate day "since I stay off repluse I start in belgravia turn left into kromboom left into jan smuts left into turfall then left back into belgravia. Never had n' problem and I have been doing that for n' few years..makes me think now
  16. Eish bru fock we both stay in the same area and I use that road daily.
  17. I normally phone bearing man with the bearing number its way cheaper and you get better quality bearings as well. My cannondale crank bearings costed me R600 for 2 ceramic ones, the same item but in n' normal sealed bearing german quality was +-R300 for 2, for n' even cheaper make "made in taiwan" sealed bearing it would of been +-R200 for both.
  18. k@k business ethic for sure, but maybe your buddy can buy it back for R9k it will still be cheaper than getting another bike. I don't know niel but if he is looking for the full value of the bike then he is a real d**s in my eyes and shouldn't be trading as a bike shop. Just my 2c
  19. More info...?
  20. Oops meant *Manenberg This mobile version has no EDIT button...!!
  21. Hahahaha...What are they smoking in mannenberg a 2005 Scott for R21..?, thats like trying to sell a pick n' pay trolley for R1000 bucks...lol
  22. I wouldnt advise you to open it yourself if you don't know what's happening,I managed to fix mine which was a 9spd ultegra shifter and the problem was the nut tightening the silver lever to the plastic housing was loose causing it to have some play.I am sure a bike shop can check that out for you. Normally the Ultegra and DA parts are built so solid that they very seldom give any problems.
  23. Maybe my timing was a little out I went to Dr Swart in oct 2009 and he was fully booked until dec suppose most guys wanted there setup completed before "die burger" I was told to come back in the in the new year which I did but he was fully booked until after the argus...lol I did managed to get a cancelation slot only becasue I worked @ Great Westerford so i could pop in on a daily basis and I stayed a stone throw away, but others are not willing to wait months to be seen to. I suggest your LBS can do a temp fit and you can fine tune your settings as you go on,but schedule an appointment with Dr Swart in the meantime, its well worth it my frame size was slightly too big and my shoes was incorrect he even took time out to researched a couple of brands geometry charts and recomended which frame and shoes I should get within my specified budget.
  24. Only problem is getting an appointment by Dr Swart, that man is always fully booked, his cancelation list is even longer plus you have to book him like 2months in advance.
